Heard about this place due to a bike meet and so glad I visited. Had a lovely breakfast in the dog friendly cafe and then looked around the shops. This place is perfect for families as there is a playground and seating outside, perfect for a picnic with the children or a cuppa and cake from the cafe.

Lovely setting for a homemade delicious lunch. A good range of homemade sandwiches and cooked food. We enjoyed eating outside as it was a lovely day but also good seating inside. Food was prepared fresh so about a fifteen minute wait but we’ll worth it.

There is a lovely relaxing atmosphere here. The staff are are friendly and helpful and the food is delicious. We especially enjoyed the cream teas. It is great to learn the history of the windmill, to read about the restoration work and see how the local children have been engaged to help provide a pleasant experience for looking around this historic building and nearby woodland.

Great "free"attraction. Mill is being restored in the week but at weekends you can go up to the top. Great views!

Great boutique & craft shops. Tea room is good too. Omlettes that we had were tasty as were the coffees.

Fab play area for kids, small CL caravan sit, and wooded area.

When we visited today found 10 ducklings in the pond!

Really nice cream teas! The menu also offers some great lunches, including vegan options. Eat inside the beautiful cafe or outside in the surrounding gardens. Play areas for children and a nice littlewooded area to walk through, with willow weaved forest animals. Plus a beautiful restored flour mill to view. Great place to visit.

A beautiful location offering a lovely picnic area and tea rooms. The food is a little pricey but really worth it, with very tasty meals, snacks, homemade desserts, tea and freshly ground coffee, all served by friendly and polite staff.
The historic windmill is well worth looking around, and the shops offer some interesting items for sale.
Ample parking is provided.

A short stop today at a windmill, I understand that the windmill has recently had it's top replaced, we stopped for a quick break here today and was able to explore and go up all floors of the mill and see the workings that now need some restoration.
The steps are small and steep and if you don't like heights you may not like them, but it's worth the climb.
There is a nice tea room here with food available too with toilets that are kept clean and tidy. I am not going to review the food as we only stopped for a quick drink.
Too the side of the mill there are a couple of boutique style shops to have a browse round.
To the other side of the mill is a big grass kids play area and places to sit when the weather is suitable.
The car park is quite big but it was quite full today but that was partly due to a small convoy of vintage / classic cars stopping off to use the tea room.
It's a bit off the beaten track but if your out for a leisurely country drive it's worth a stop.

Visited with daughter today for lunch which we thoroughly enjoyed, food excellent, staff friendly. Plenty of room to eat out but as it was cooler today we dined inside. Noticed a play area for children. Good parking area with designated disabled parking area.

Did an outside broadcasts from there for 103 The Eye radio station. Only had coffee & cake as we were interviewing owner, workers & clients. Nice atmosphere and great service.

Fantastic cafe. Very spacious, great service and extensive menu. Sausage and bacon sandwiches are lovely and the scampi delicious. And then there's the bonus of a really rustic and well-preserved windmill. Highly recommended.

What a fantastic place! We hired the barn for our 40th wedding anniversary and had afternoon tea. Josh and his staff were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble which made our afternoon special. Everyone commented on how wonderful the food was many saying it was the best afternoon tea they have ever had.

Had a fabulous afternoon on Saturday up at the Windmill. I had arranged for some laser clay pigeon shooting on the grounds and Josh arranged some nibbles and drinks before hand and we had an afternoon team afterwards. It was a great afternoon and I can't thank Josh an the team for all of the lovely food and drinks.
All of the food was amazing and Josh was a wonderful host
