Fryer Freemans

I came down from the Sheffield region to stay at the local Stokesay Inn so paid a visit to this shop for my evening dinner. Lovely chips and quite a large fish. Customer service was great and I am looking forward to coming back. Will try some other things on the menu next.

Edit* I have had a second visit and tried some other things on the menu and can report all was excellent again.

Was staying locally for a few days and fancied some fish and chips so gave Fryer Freeman's a go.
Trudy, the lady who served us was so friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble and even brought our food over to us as we wanted to eat in.
The food and service were excellent and our only disappointment is that this is not our local chippy back in Norfolk 🙄

The first time I’ve been here, and I’ll definitely be back for more… it’s wonderful.
Served with the best Chips and Peas for miles around…and the best I’ve tasted for a long time, by the legend that is Trudy.

Fifteen members of my family enjoyed a really excellent meal this evening from Fryer Freemans. Good quality, hot, food, and friendly, efficient service. Many thanks to Trudy and all her staff - we will return if we're ever on holiday again in Craven Arms.

Have visited a few times now, food has always been very good, freshly cooked and good value. Staff are friendly, and the shop is tidy and clean.

Staying at Ashley Pools Holiday Park, we decided to get a takeaway. Looked on Google map's and a few shop's came up we decided to go for Fryer Freeman's.
2 doner kebabs in naan bread and a fish and chips. The 2 doner kebabs were huge and delicious, both me and my daughter agree. My wife had the fish and chips which she said was also huge and delicious. It took us 2 goes to eat it all...
Well worth a visit.

Just had my daughter’s wedding at The Barn at Wayside, near Craven Arms and had arranged with Gary for fish and chips to be delivered to the venue for the 40 guests. He was so helpful, reasonably priced and reliable… and the food was lovely! So glad we used Fryer Freeman. Thank you Gary!

Visited whilst travelling through. Excellent fish and chips that were good to a very good standard and were very tasty and filling. Excellent portions made them great value for money. Would definitely recommend.

Best fish and chips ever Crispy thin batter white flake fish chips perfectly cooked Always hot and never greasy Nothing negative to say Have you changed hands We visited you other week and you have gone from the best to the worst sloppy wet batter hard chips £28 in the bin

Trudy is such a friendly and helpful staff member and a real asset, always gives a warm welcome.

Wonderfully cooked and tasty Fish & Chips and Gary’s customer service was excellent! We ordered 50 portions of Fish & Chips and took them to Wilderhope Youth Hostel (20 minutes away). Gary had wrapped them up tight specially for us and they were still toasty when we all tucked into them. Thank you – we can’t recommend you enough!

Best fish & chips we've had in a long time. Next time we're passing Craven Arms we'll DEFINITELY be calling in. Mom (who normally eats like a bird) wolfed the lot & particularly enjoyed the mushy peas.

We were a large group of friends staying at The Coach House for a long weekend, we phoned the chippy and they took our order for 13 people, we collected it hoping everything was right, perfect, lovely food, great service by really helpful friendly people on a busy night, thanks *****

Fryer Freeman's has become our regular treat. The fish and chips are always excellent: freshly cooked juicy fish and the chips never greasy or soggy. We can't manage a big portion of chips each so Trudy happily divides it up for us - brilliant service! Thank you all and see you again soon.

The food was excellent. Gary delivered to us for 35 people- not easy with that amount. It was all piping hot and we were staying in a remote place. He was very friendly

Delicious fish and chips, so good I haven't tried anything else on the menu. My other half has had the mixed kebab and says it's Awesome. Def recommend!!! 👍🏻😊

Really great place for sausage and chips

I travel from Bishops Castle (c15 mins) to go to this fish & chip shop. Never been disappointed. Used to go to the other one in Craven Arms but they seemed to lose interest in cooking.

At Fryer Freeman, fish is always fresh, chips are lovely and the chicken naan kebab is excellent.
