The Codfather

Me & my friend were working up in Hereford, we passed through Ludlow on our way back to birmingham and stopped for something to eat. The only place close was the Codfather. We each had a chicken wrap with chips. The chicken wrap was 10/10 with fresh salad, the right amount of sauce, and even the wrap itself was perfect. The chips were also 10/10 fresh and crispy. Would highly recommend to anyone passing through the area

Hidden away on a housing estate in ludlow. All My years here and I've never even been aware of it. But family away and long drive back from the airport I decided I didn't want to cook finding somewhere open on Sunday night leaves you with little choice in ludlow and with the road closed even less accessibility. However google maps directed me here. And even just with location I was sceptical. But the lady serving was very pleasant. The food was well cooked and the chips with a red tint were crisp and full of flavour highly recommend

Amazing customer service!

Had to walk a mile as i was in a lorry, the guy who owns it gave me extra portions and even drove me back to my lorry!

And the food is lush!

Called into this place whilst on a short break near Ludlow. It’s really in the middle of an estate and was a bit of a surprise as you don’t really get any indication of that when doing a search.
Parking is very limited.
The service was a little slow, that said most of our order was freshly prepared and it was for 9.
The prices are reasonable and the portions are very good.
Please note this is a cash only shop and caused instant panic when I tried to tot up the cost only have £50 to hand. Anyway when I came to pay it was around £4 short. The owner said to pop it in next time I was passing. I did, the very next day how kind.

Really big portion of large cod and chips which tasted lovely. Really good value and really nice husband and wife owners. Very polite and helpful. Parking for a couple cars in front of shop. Located in a residential area. Clean store with delivery available through foodhub. Recommended

Excellent chipshop, big choice on menu, good prices, staff are really nice. The chips are very tasty. My favourite being the battered chips. Would highly recommend a visit.

I have been going to Jay for many years ... he has just improved and got better and better and better ... his battered chips have taken off tremendously!!! And his kebabs with the fresh salad are by far the best in TOWN ! He is also a very generous man . Considering I have had times with nothing he has always been there and has helped me out more times than I can mention ... he is not just a man with a chip shop ! HE IS A MEMBER OF THE COMMUNITY ... :)

Amazing food, amazing customer service me being a Head Chef and also being im the hospitality trade for 23 years I take my hat off to the quality, consistency and freshness of ingredients used... Job very well done

Great takeaway, Jay & his wife are lovely. We live 3 miles from The Codfather & they missed something out of our order, we didn't even phone to say anything, sat down to eat & Jay knocked on our door - amazing service!

The codfather in Ludlow is a great fishand chips shop. Jay has been running the shop for years now and he keeps making improvements. The menu is always changing and the food is always getting better.

Amazing experience, they went out of their way to bring me a take away while my van was broken down on a stormy night. Great food too, Can’t recommend them enough.

Ordered a really good takeaway from here two days ago. We asked for eleven meals for a large group and it arrived promptly, tasted great and was reasonably priced
