Absolutely fantastic stay!
This dairy and gluten free restaurant was an amazing experience throughout.
The food was exceptional, we travelled nearly 3 hours to visit a full gluten free restaurant and we definitely wasn't disappointed!
The staff were friendly, very chatty and made us very welcome.

We even had the opportunity to speak with the the chef Malcome, he is clearly very passionate about his work, and the importance of dietary requirements

I couldn't recommend this place more
It was phenomenal

We came here specifically because we saw that they were a fully gluten free restaurant. The menu was amazing, absolutely filled with choices. I had the duck, which was really tasty and I had the chocolate torte for dessert. It was really moist and tasted brilliant. We really enjoyed our meal, were impressed by the service and will most likely make a trip back there in the future.

We had a lovely meal and sat out the back in the sunshine. It is on the high street and short walk from a car park. The menu is completely dairy and gluten free and all other allergens are noted on each menu item. The chilli with dairy and gluten free garlic bread and the Thai prawns were lovely and so were the chips. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend for people with allergies and people without you can’t tell the difference on most things. Will definitely be back. It was so nice to know I could eat anything off the menu! There are also gluten free beers. It is accredited by gluten free association.

So. We travelled 2 1/2 hours to try this 💯 percent gluten & diary free pub/ eatery. I have to say we weren’t disappointed.
I had the belly pork which was outstanding & my partner had the gammon, which he informs me was the best he’d even eaten. ( he’s extremely fussy, so high praise indeed) we shared a sticky toffee pudding & also a choc & orange cheesecake & ice cream, when your used to getting a fruit salad or brownie & not much else this was like Christmas had come early wow they were soooo good .
Service was great & Malcolm , Justin , Kate were all very welcoming & friendly. Even your large Dog was made to feel at home .
We even went back in the morning for a full English breakfast, this is a service they provide the campers on Panpwnton farm where we were staying. They also have Rooms at the pub.
We are planning a return trip later this year.
Places like this are special & I urge everyone to try there delicious food you don’t need to be gluten free my partner isn’t & he loved it all. You just wouldn’t have known it was gluten & diary free .
Food doesn’t need wheat in it , so most of the time it’s just a bulking tactic to make things go further , more money for the companies.
I think our spotless clean plates said it all 😋
Best wishes
See you soon

We stopped for lunch on our way to our holiday destination. I can honestly say the best gluten free food I have ever tasted. The service and warm reception was truly awesome too. Highly recommended.

Finally a place coeliacs can feel normal! It felt so strange not having to triple check I could eat, but the huge 100% gluten and dairy free menu was unique, never had so much choice and felt so safe...and the food was amazing! Malc was so lovely and so dedicated to making amazing gluten free food to prove that people with coeliac disease and allergies can and should be able to eat anywhere, he puts everywhere else to shame! Definitely worth a trip, we travelled 3 hours to stay here specifically to have wonderful breakfasts and dinners every night. 10/10 recommend (for everyone, not just coeliacs...you wouldn't know the food was gf by the taste of it) and we'll be back! Thanks Malc and the whole lovely crew at the George and Dragon ☺✨

If you are coeliac, or someone you love is, this is the place to go. You’ll be well fed, there will be pleasant conversation and you’ll have a lovely look around some beautiful countryside.

Our family has just enjoyed a wonderful roast carvery lunch. Both my wife and daughter have allergies and we had total peace of mind knowing the food and preparation was safe.
Also our German Shepherd and Dachshund dogs were made to feel very welcome too.

Wonderful atmosphere and we look forward to seeing you again

What fabulous food - the mussels, the seafood chowder, soup and pork belly were just such a surprise as they were so tasty and so reasonably priced. Will definitely be back. Thanks

Amazing food and so nice to find somewhere completely Coeliac friendly, makes such a difference instead of having to trawl through the menu and check every ingredient. Can't recommend enough xx

Booked today for Sunday lunch. Good carvery selection available and all gluten free. The pub is working towards becoming totally gluten free which is amazing for coeliacs. Delicious Yorkshire puddings, gluten free stuffing, cauliflower cheese and lots of other veg with a choice of three meats. Gravy was delicious too and so nice not to have to worry about cross contamination. Also a choice of several gluten free puddings but we were too full to try!
