Church House

We stayed here one night midway through hiking part of Offa’s Dyke Path. This was our favorite stopover: marvelous breakfast, gorgeous English garden, Andrew and Elisabeth are welcoming and a joy to converse with. The beds are comfortable, bathrooms lovely and clean and you are surrounded by books. What more could you possibly need?

A fabulous stay on the Offa’s Dyke trail. Andrew & Lis are great hosts. Our room was very comfortable with spectacular views of their gorgeous gardens. We need to come back when the wisteria is out in bloom. Breakfast was delicious. Got our laundry done ✅ and dinner was metres away at The Royal Oak pub- very tasty. Highly recommend a stay at Church House.

A lovely period house with lots of character. Yes that does involve a few compromises...our (exclusive use) bathroom was next door, not ensuite, TV-no. Great hosts!! Brilliant we loved it.

Superb place to stay. Excellent helpful host. Brilliant bath for exhausted Offa walkers. Good breakfast. Lovely old property. Aga dried clothes and welcoming tea and bara brith. (Welsh tea bread)

A really warm welcome into a gorgeous family home. This is how a B and B should be. The house is large and airy and a proper family home (children have flown the nest) and I loved the one night in it. Super comfortable bed, charming, helpful host and perfect breakfast. The garden is amazing, don't miss it! Thank you Andrew!

I did not hate this place I loved it. Beautiful garden, beds really comfortable, food good especially the roasted tomatoes. Hosts were very very nice. Please be aware that you are staying in their beautiful home not in an annex so your bathroom is their also theirs. Thoroughly recommend.

Five star perfection. Perfect hosts, excellent breakfasts, tea and cake on arrival, a stunning house and garden, comfortable beds and a huge bath. Absolutely no room for improvement, and we very much look forward to returning next year.

Andrew and liz are fantastic hosts and the place is totally relaxed. Were only here for one night whilst walking offa's dyke but would definitely come back for a two or three night stay. If you are walking the dyke stay here.

Church House really came through for me when a planned stay with family required modification at the last minute... what an absolute gem! My stay in Kington was made all the more special because of Andrew and Liz -- and their "grandog," Coco. The house itself is gorgeous and interesting and very comfortable, but it was Andrew and Liz as hosts that made my two-night stay truly special... I was welcomed in as if I were an old friend, which I very much appreciated. Conversation was warm and easy, and Andrew's breakfast was scrumptious! My stay at Church House was so much more than I could have expected. When I'm back to visit family again I will make a point of -- at the very least -- popping by to say hello to Andrew and Liz. It was that special of an experience.

Stayed for 3 nights for family wedding nearby. It is a wonderful B&B, Andrew and Liz are wonderful hosts. Really enjoyed the stay.
