Owl Valley Glamping

Just returned from one night at the tawny cabin and had the best and most relaxing time with my 2 teens. Wish we could have stayed longer really but we will be back. I'm glad I didn't tell the kids where we were going before arriving as they would have said they didn't want to go, no phone signal or WiFi but they were glad when we arrived and jumped in the wood fired hot tub. Don't be a muppet like me and forget to bring towels.... We had to drop dry but it was all good! It was great despite awful weather and we woke to lovely sun, so we hopped in the river with nets and had great fun. It is so nice to see kids being kids. Chris was lovely and welcoming and drove our bags to the cabin while we walked over the rd. Pretty much anything you could need there and the interior is really nice. I cannot fault the place and I stay in a lot of places! Would be even better if you went with a couple of families and made good use of the communal games room or camp fires. I loved every minute, thank you ❤

Chris was a wonderful host, his craftsmanship and dedication to nature and the sustainability of his glamping site and all the special flora and fauna native to the area was superb. Absolutely fantastic stay. Beautiful area, amazing hosts, nothing is too big of an ask, hot tub was amazing and was really great to get back in touch with nature. Celebrated my birthday which was fantastic, cannot wait to come back again soon!🤍🤍

Just had the best weekend away. What a find...its secluded, quiet and perfect for anyone wanting to escape to the healing sounds of nature and enjoy being off grid. AMAZING hosts who make you so welcome and have everything set up for you. Wood fired hot tub was incredible. Fire pit and log burner in the dome were great. Feel totally relaxed and recharged! Loved cooking and eating outside. All the little personal touches make it unique. Would highly recommend. Great for kids. Seriously a great way to spend the last couple of days of my 30s!!!!!!!! Thanks to all of the family who played their part to make this place a special holiday for us xxx

The games room was a huge with the older kids and the younger kids loved exploring the river.
The hot tub was loved by all.
Our hosts were very hospitable making us feel very welcome!
No electricity, no WiFi, and no reception meant we truly switched off!

We loved our stay at Owl Valley! Upon arrival Chris made us feel very welcome and helped us with our luggage. The site is well looked after and so peaceful. It's obvious that the owners have poured their heart and soul into owl Valley, and they really have thought about everything you might need, we wanted for nothing during our stay. As well as feeling safe and comfortable, another thing we really admire about Owl Valley is their eco-friendly ethos and consideration for the nature which surrounds them. A great place for children to run around and explore. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of modern life. 10/10

Wow this place is just wow ! Me and my friends visited at the start of July and stayed in the Tawny Cabin, and it was just absolutely magical. Such a gorgeous setting and each hut / glamping pod is well spaced out so you feel like the place is all to yourself nestled in a magical fairy woodland. The cabin has everything you need and the beds are super comfy. The hot tub is just an added bonus and me and my friends enjoyed sitting outside in the hot tub in the evenings. With so much to do on your doorstep as well and amazing hosts , I highly recommend staying here on your next trip to Devon.

We have stayed at Owl Valley glamping twice now and we absolutely love it! It is the most peaceful, relaxing and fun bit of escapism ever! Everything you need is there and love that there is no internet connection. It’s all about connection with your loved ones - in the flesh and connecting with nature. Perfect!

Really amazing experience, Chris our host who built the cabin himself using locally sourced materials was both friendly and welcoming.

The cabin was comfy and came with everything you need such as a BBQ, indoor fire heater, shower, fire heated hot tub, gas stove and all cooking equipment.

At night it was peaceful and quiet, with only the sound of the nearby stream and owls.

It was a perfect couples getaway, which was much needed.

Would highly recommend to all.

Having stayed in Tawny Cabin last year, our girls (10 and 8) were thrilled to come back and have the chance to try out the Geodome. Our 3 night stay more than lived up to expectations - so comfortable and spacious in there especially with the rollaway beds and we loved opening the curtains to nature in the mornings. We made good use of the hot tub, bbq, and Steve’s Shack, loved both exploring & chilling and may just have over-indulged in toasted marshmallows! Thanks Chris, Lizzie, Scott & Lesley for making us feel so welcome again 💙🦉💚

Spent the weekend here with my partner we stayed in barn owl 🦉 and what can I say the place was just amazing, from the moment we arrived we were greated by Chris who took our luggage to where we were staying and gave us a brief instruction on how to get down to our cabin. When we got down to barn owl we were just blown away with how beautiful the place was.
It's so quiet and the place was spotless, Chris guided us through how things worked and showed us around before leaving and letting us get on with our short stay.

If you love nature then I highly recommend staying here. The bed was comfy the hot tub was amazing the whole set up with the solar lights out side just gave it that romantic touch which was a big plus. We ventured out during the day into bideford and clovelly which both seem as though they would be miles away from where we are staying but both was within 20mins drive. And if you've never visited clovelly I'd highly recommend it.

Chris was a brilliant host and nothing was ever to much trouble for him to make sure our stay memorable. Chris told me he got the place just before lockdown and he fell in love with it and I can see why as me and my partner both fell in love with it too. Chris is an Absolutely lovely guy and a top bloke we will 100% be returning and in the mean time wish Chris and his family all the best going forward.

This was the perfect little getaway to escape modern life! Barn Owl cabin was perfect for our little family of 4 and we loved being inside on the rainy day with the log burner going. Chris was super helpful and friendly and the hot tub was ready on our arrival which the kids loved. Lots of nature, a huge variety of birds and even a deer! We will definitely be back soon.

Our first glamping experience and we will definitely be back. All the amenities we needed, only needed to bring with us the minimum, fully stocked kitchen equipment, clean toilet and shower and so much privacy. Our children were able to enjoy playing by the stream and sitting round the camp fire. The owner was very friendly and left us to it after dropping off our stuff and showing us around the camp.

We had a really lovely stay at the Tawny Cabin at Owl Valley Glamping, enjoyed a lot the hot tub, bbq, the spacious room, the fresh air among the woods, and Chris was extremely welcoming! Thank you so much for creating this place!

We had a wonderful few days at Owl Valley. We are a family of 4 and stayed in the Tawny Owl bell tent which is ideally situated in a very peaceful part of the valley and close to ‘Steve’s Shack’ where the children would go and have fun with the games and meet new friends.

Chris and Lesley and family are amazing hosts, very considerate and helpful without encroaching on your break. We had some lovely eggs from their chickens too!

The facilities are clean, comfortable and they have thought of everything in the kitchen. We toasted marshmallows on the fire pit and cooked on the bbq and enjoyed the starry skies!

The valley is very tranquil and we really enjoyed exploring the grounds and all the fun and nature it brought.

Proper gem! Everything, from the place to the owning family, was lovely. We stayed in the Barn Owl cabin and it was all so serene and perfect. Exactly what we needed.
Cosy, comfortable decor in a cabin with a lush wood fired hot tub, heated up for us daily, tucked away in a magical corner of the countryside. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners and everyone was so friendly. Local area is great- nearby shops, amazing beaches and fun things to do all locally. We went as a couple but totally great for families too.
Truly a cosy, quiet retreat from daily hustle 'n bustle and lives up to its name Owl Valley! We're planning our next visit already.

Booked to stay for two nights and wasn't really sure what to expect, but boyfriend and I were absolutely blown away by how incredible everything was! We had the most perfect weekend away! The family that run this place have clearly put a lot of thought into the small details. The outdoor kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, and our tent was lined with fairy lights, making it just perfectly cute and romantic! There were so many beautiful areas to explore and we saw some deer and at night could hear the owls overhead! We can't wait to go back and bring the rest of our family! I really can't rate them highly enough! It was truly magical!

I could not recommend this place highly enough. We had wonderful night stay, it was literally a slice of heaven. I would have lived there forever if I had the choice. It was so luxurious, whilst still keeping that glamping feeling. The owners had thought of everything, and were also incredibly friendly. We will 100% be returning as soon as we can.

This was an absolute amazing getaway absolutely perfect location, the barn owl cabin was beautiful and so cosy. The host was Brilliant so lovely and went above and beyond. Could not of asked for a better stay!

This is the perfect getaway for all your needs. Me and my partner have just come back from a 4 night stay at the tawny cabin in owl valley. We did not want for anything. The owners went above and beyond to cater for our every needs. Such a lovely friendly family always full of smiles and honestly couldn’t do enough for us. It’s a shame I can only give 5 stars as this deserves more. Thank you again owl valley crew and can’t wait for our next retreat. 😁😁😁
