The Fire Engine

A big thank you to Will, Annette and Matt for a very good job. The log burner was fitted to a very high standard on what was a difficult property. The property had timber cladding inside and outside and was very highly insulated. Will looked into every aspect to make sure we were safe and kept our insulation intact. There was no mess and everything looked as it was before ( except it had a lovely log burner). I would not hesitate in recommending The Fire Engine to anyone looking for a professional service run by lovely, friendly people.
UPDATE:
This business is now closed. We had an issue in our first winter when rain water started leaking around the flue and damaging the internal plaster, when we tried to contact the business it was all closed down.

Just had our second Log burner installed by the team at The Fire Engine. Excellent service throughout. Thanks to Will and Matt for the installation and Annette for the advice when choosing what to get. Very pleased.

We have just had a beautiful stove installed by Will and his team and are very grateful indeed for the considerable care and attention to detail that they applied throughout the whole process. Will expended considerable time discussing the various products and visited our house several times to check the site and our requirements, finally visiting the site at the end of the installation to check that all was well. The rest of the team were also very pleasant to deal with and we enjoyed having them all in our house - so much so that we were sorry to see them go, which is unusual after the upheaval of building work!

We honestly couldn’t have chosen a better company to install our new woodburner, right from the initial survey to the showroom visit to the installation the whole process was a real pleasure, Will and Matt completely remodelled a tired and old fashioned fireplace into something really special and the woodburner we have is a fantastic piece of kit. Not forgetting Annette who was always ready to help with any questions that we had, her knowledge is amazing! We would not hesitate to recommend The Fire Engine to anyone looking to have a new fire installed.

We are over the moon with our new log burner that was installed by The Fire Engine. After many months of searching for a Company, we did have others come out to the house we decided to go with the Fire Engine as Will came out and explained everything to us in detail. He is a very friendly guy with a showroom that you can visit to see the stoves he has on show. We felt that the Fire Engine would look after us and they certainly did. The guys came out to our house for 2 days opening up the chimney and installing the lintels etc. They worked professionally and cleaned up after taking the huge amounts of rubble etc with them.Will even came back after the burner was installed to give us a quick lesson on how to get the best from our stove and to light it with advice on what is the best wood to use.We would highly recommend the Fire Engine and would not hesitate to use this Company again if needed in the future

After speaking to Will at The Fire Engine in Bideford, we went ahead and had our old Rayburn replaced with an Esse Ironheart. The advice we got from the shop team was great, and the plumbers/fitters were excellent - the whole water heating system including lots of pipes had to be changed and nothing was too much bother for them.
The chimney lining and cowling was also changed, along with a new lintel, all to a high standard.
The Fire Engine offer the complete package, from supply to fitting, we would certainly use them again, and highly recommend them.

Will and his team were excellent. They arrived to install our new wood burner and initially came across a few issues but quickly resolved these and by the end of the day we were sitting in front of a lovely warm wood burner.
