I normally attend the same practice in Framlingham (Hazel) who is excellent, but I attended here as I might have required an implant and they specialise in this procedure at Aldeburgh. Fantastic service and very impressed not only with their knowledge, but the fact that they decided the implant was not necessary at this time and it was decided on taking a much cheaper approach. Feel very luck to have such a great dental practice both in Framlingham and Aldeburgh.

I was camping at Birds & Bees campsite in Rendham with my partner and young children and had a dental emergency with a loose pre-molar which had become infected and had caused a very painful abscess. Having tried several other practices, Aldeburgh dental practice fitted me in the following day with an emergency appointment and I had the tooth pulled and abscess drained along with a 5 day course of anti-biotics. The dentist was superb and very efficient and the practice itself was very well operated and Covid safe (all staff double jabbed). I paid £265 and would have happily paid double that just to be rid of the excruciating pain. All told a very positive experience and would highly recommend. (Turned out I was covered on family private medical insurance too, so got all my money paid back).

I have recently return to Aldeburgh dental practice to havs a crown renewed after the old one fell off during lockdown & and my old NHS densist refused to repair even though restrictions were lifted and the work was allowed.
The whole experience having the crown repaired was 1st class from start to finish, the crown is a far superior product than the NHS one but you would expect this given the price difference, but in my opinion its more than worth the extra expense.
Given the experience I had with my NHS dentist I had already decided to rejoin ths Den Plan scheme before I left the chair on my 1st visit back to Aldeburgh such was the confidence I had in ths treatment.I was receiving.
A 1st class ddntal practice.

Just had a few fillings by a dentist called Chris (I think). Good friendly service.

Like many my NHS dentist closed down during Covid, so I was forced to go private as nowhere is taking on new NHS patients. I decided to join the Denplan here as it was a bit cheaper to pay monthly. The staff have always been friendly and the hygienist has been great, but the dentist has been so-so. My initial check-up after 2 years out of the chair due to Covid yielded no concerns, but 6 months later it was all doom and gloom, and I had to have fillings and a tooth out over 2 appointments. This then doubled my Denplan which is strange as it only includes the check-up and hygienist and 10% off the fillings and extraction which were extra, but I'd have to have a number of x-rays and other extra's just to "break even".

What's most annoying is their communication. Twice I've had appointments cancelled due to staff sickness which in itself is fair enough, but both times they leave just 1 missed call (I can't see/use my mobile at work) and they leave no voicemail/text/email like when you book an appointment. Whenever I try and call back it goes straight to voicemail with a message saying they are "on lunch" but it's left off the hook from 10am - 2pm it seems?! So my only way to find out they've cancelled the appointment is a wasted trip. Overall my experience going private has been a disappointment and costs £100's to £1000 more a year for the same service. With going private there has to be better out there...

Absolutely disgusted with their services at Aldeburgh dentist.. Appointment at 9am with my very nervous daughter waiting for teeth extractions. The dentist strolled into work at 9.10, then took his time getting changed, then wanted a cup of tea before he started. All this time my daughter was getting more and more nervous. When he did eventually call us through he did nothing to reassure her (sadly her normal dentist left) and then refused to extract her teeth because of how nervous she was. I was fuming and needless to say have now signed up to Leiston Dental who met my daughter and reassured her and me. In addition the dental nurse at Aldeburgh who was manning reception was really unfriendly and quite rude. Overall a very bad experience and one we won’t make again.

My local dentist closed down so contact this dentist as a private patient and was willing to take me on. But when it came to our child the dentist said they were unwilling to take on children unless they lived in Aldeburgh and our child had to go to their Framingham practice another 15 miles away. They seem very elitist and decided to go elsewhere for our treatment. Appalling outcome and will make my feeling known to the relevant bodies.😠😠😠😠
