Despite the rain we had a fantastic time in this excellent property. Well equipped and maintained professionally. My wife has limited mobility and was able to move around the property using sticks and a walker with no issues. The large bathroom has a walk-in shower which she could easily use with a shower seat as she was able to walk right up with the walker. There is seating outside on the patio which is also accessible and a shallow slope from the drive to the property. The surrounding area is stunning and we didn’t need to travel too far to find places to visit. Keswick Pencil Museum, Theatre by the Lake, Derwent Water and the railway walk were very close and well worth a visit. The owner was easily contactable and flexible with our checking out time which was really helpful. Highly recommended.

We have just returned from Quaver Cottage after a lovely week in Keswick - booked through Keswick Cottages.
(Stayed - Mon to Fri - Last week of April 24)

The cottage is in a great location, just behind Booths & easy walking to the town center - although close to all the amenities it it very peaceful.

The cottage itself had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Lovely lounge area with dining table & 2 x Sofas, TV & Freeview & patio doors to a shared garden at the rear. The kitchen had all the usual appliances, including a welcome 'cleaning box' with washing up liquid etc. Upstairs the master bedroom was large with a comfy bed, nice, clean bathroom & then a second bedroom (2 singles) which we didn't need to use.

Location wise, you cannot ask for more if you intend to make the most of Keswick.
Perfect base for setting off for walks & exploring .. and then close enough to everything to get home, freshened up & out for food & drink round Keswick.

Booking, communications & overall guidance from Keswick cottages was perfect .. majority via email with clear instructions & updates of the booking.

Would highly recommend the cottage & Keswick Cottages.

Great service from Keswick cottages, i will always use them from now on if stopping in the lakes, it's nice to be able to get through to someone 24/7 should you need to.
Langrigg cottage is a spacious cottage with outstanding views good area for your furry friends,15 minutes from Keswick center.
We are quite fussy about where we stay this ticked all the boxes and we have already booked to return.

Excellent communications with Keswick Cottages. Flat & car space easy to find. Spacious bedroom with big comfortable bed & plenty storage. Great storage in hall for all our bits and pieces. Good size bathroom with plenty hot water & heated towel rail so always a dry towel. Comfortable sofa to lounge on in the evenings watching Netflix. A fairly small but lovely lounge/diner with fab views to Skiddaw. Kitchen compact but tastefully put together. All very clean. We had 7 days with our beautiful William a retired guide dog. For those of you with a dog, Fitz Park across the road is great for the early morning walk. Lots of walks in Keswick and a dedicated parking space is a huge bonus allowing us to go further afield. Would recommend fish & chips from the Keswickian top of the market square. Ice Cream from The Little Ice Cream Shop Hawkshead & the biggest bacon buttie at the Herdwick Coniston. The walk from Grasmere to Ambleside via Rydal Water is a 12 mile round trip but you can get a bus back if you need to. Keswick Cottages really did pull out all the stops to ensure things went smoothly for us. First time we’ve used this company but I’m sure it won’t be the last.

Beautiful cottage in the picturesque town of Keswick. Greeted on our arrival by friendly and welcoming owner who recommended some nice cafes and pubs for food. Accommodation was excellent and enjoyed the use of a hot bath as well as shower. Facilities outside for hiking boots and clothing. Handy use of washer/dryer too. A 15 minute walk into town. Kitchen equipped with everything you need. Dining area had beautiful views of the hills. Couldn’t fault the place and would definitely recommend and stay again. Nice touch having Netflix to chill in the evening and of course sky and the wifi too.

Such a lovely cottage, right in the heart of the village but stept back from the road allowing parking and quietness. Ideal for a couple it has all you would need for a break.
Clean and inviting we would definitely stay here again.
keswick is a lovely quick walk away over the fields and it was easy to get to however we had plenty of choices to eat out in the village.

stunning cottage in an ideal location for walking and visiting keswick. Cottage is very well equipped, extremely comfortable, warm and cosy, beds are the best we have ever slept in. Lovely secure dog friendly garden with stunning views, bonus of having parking at the front of the cottage. Just steps away from a shop and 2 exceptional pubs. Quiet and peaceful, ideal for couples, small family or friends. Keswick cottages are really supportive, helpful and respond quickly to all queries, we would without question use this company again .

We stayed in no. 5 The Townhouses. Lovely townhouse, well equipped kitchen, large ground floor bedroom and shower room with 3 bedrooms, large bathroom and living room on upper floors, all decorated to high standard and easily accommodated our party of 6 adults, toddler and baby. Keswick Cottages were very helpful with any initial enquiries by phone and they provided directions etc. by email prior to our visit. Good location - walking distance to Derwentwater Lake and lakeside theatre and literally around the corner from the pubs/shops of central Keswick. Permits were supplied for parking in choice of 3 long term car parks during our visit as there is no direct parking outside property. Beautiful views from the upper floors. Highly recommended.

This property is perfect, it is in a great location very close to everything without being noisy. The house is close to Fitz Park, the town centre, the bus route and the car parks. The property is dog friendly but doesn’t have a ‘dog unfriendly’ look or smell. All rooms are tastefully decorated and furnished well, the house is very spacious, well equipped with all you could need for a stay whether it’s a short weekend stay or longer. We have stayed in this house a couple of times now both as a group of 10 and a group of 4 there’s plenty of space/furniture/equipment for all. There is also outside space with ample garden furniture should you get the good weather too. Despite its vast size on three floors the house is always warm and cosy with central heating and the log burner you have no worries about drying out wet coats and boots.
WiFi is also available during your stay.
I very highly recommend this property but honestly I hope you don’t all book this house or we won’t be able to get availability hahaha

We stayed in no9 townhouse and what a beautiful property it was, we stopped for a week over Christmas and cooked Christmas dinner in the property. There was 8 of us and plenty of room for us all, the kitchen is very well equipped, bedrooms are spacious, it really made us feel at home.
The team at Keswick cottages were fantastic, they answered every question I had straight away and even left presents for the children on our arrival.

Same again next year!

We stayed in Wordsworth House with extended family for a long weekend. Lovely well equipped warm house with plenty of space and. Centrally located with outside space and parking for a small/medium sized car. I can’t recommend Keswick Cottages enough, this is second time we have booked through them, they are always quick to reply to any queries and help with finding the right cottages to suit your requirements.

We booked a week long stay with Keswick Cottages, staying at Glenderamackin cottage in Threlkeld. It was the perfect base for exploring the northern and central lake district, and was very dog friendly. We'd love to book again in future!

We have just returned from Three Peaks in Braithwaite, near Keswick. The Bungalow was absolutely beautiful, the rooms, the kitchen and lovely bathrooms. With stunning viewstoo. Well equiped and Warm and very clean. The gardens were ideal if you have a dog as all secure. We inadvertently let the door close as it was a yale lock and had to call Keswick Cottages who were there in a matter of minutes with another key. Thank you Keswick Cottages for your recommendation as the property we initially wanted to go to was already booked. J H Johnstone.

INCREDIBLE - that's the best word I can describe this gorgeous, perfect cottage. Located in the former Swan Coaching Inn. It's immaculate inside. First off, the views, from every aspect of this gorgeous place - front and back, the views are breathtaking. you walk up the little stairs to your own private front door, and into a little cloak -where you can leave boots/coats, and then up 3 or 4 stairs and into the lounge. A true "welcome home" feeling. There are 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (ensuite and the other bathroom a single step from the bedroom), a great brand new kitchen, with everything you need, from Dishwasher, washer, dryer, microwave, full-size separate fridge & freezer, and every utensil and cooking equipment you need - plus a gorgeous window seat. A door then leads to an outside enclosed/safe terrace, where you can drink your coffee and be gobsmacked by those views again. The WIFI is BT and very fast (stream films on TV etc), and there's a smart TV for those rainy later afternoons/evenings after a walk, where you can curl up on the sofa. There's even a little dining table for 4 - and whilst there is no Chimmney (given it's a converted pub) the owners have created a little heater, that has a flame effect, so it feels like a little fire - very cute and warming and it does the job really well. The owners of this place have thought of everything, designed the place with real care, and left it spacious and snug all at the same time. We had 3 nights booked but extended to 4 as we didn't want to go home. Short walk across the field, through the woods, and under the underpass of A66 - all fenced off and safe for the dogs, and about 8 min lovely walk from the cottage to the lake edge, then you can walk fully along the edge for as long as you want. I can't rate it enough. It's a short car journey to Keswick, but worth the short ride, to be welcomed back by those views. Found a taxi company "Denise's" who would pick up and drop off with the Dog too - so every base is covered, if you wanted to get into Keswick and both have a few glasses of beer/wine, and not drive. £12.50 each way. Each of the drivers were lovely with the dog too. Keswick Cottages was the booking agent, and they were super helpful too. Best stay away we've had in ages. Highly recommended.

I've lost count of the amount of times we've booked through Keswick Cottages but every time it's been a breeze. With one exception, the places have been, well, exceptional. Even the exception was perhaps rated lower than others we've stayed in, so that goes to show the honesty in their ratings. My suggestion is that you stopr reading reviews, get on their site and find yourself a great place in Keswick (or Portinscale), our favourite places to stay.

We'd never come across Keswick Cottages before - but i'm so glad we did!
The service from initial questions to post holiday has been top notch. Emails were responded to quickly, the ladies in the office were always friendly and super helpful when we called, and the welcome gifts left were a fabulous surprise.
We had no issues whilst on holiday, but had we done so, I expect Keswick Cottages would have been responsive.
We'll be booking through them again for sure!

Returned from a last minute short break last week.
Amazing staff at Keswick cottages helped us choose the cottage. I gave them our requirements and they were so helpful at sending the cottages that were available.
They are prompt with messages and are very friendly.
We stayed at Roslin in Portinscale.
The house is located in a lovely quiet culture de sac.
It has excellent views from the large rear windows towards Skiddaw. It was warm, clean and very comfortable. It was ideal for our family of 4 and 2 dogs.
Great for walking from the door and perfect as there is parking for 2 cars.
The garden was excellent for the dogs and would be great in warmer weather for sitting out and relaxing.
I have used Keswick cottages previously in another location and chose them again as I was happy with the quality and service.
I would not hesitate to recommend them and would definitely book with them again.
Thanks so much to the Keswick cottages team
