Cumbria House

Had a single room that was perfect. Small fridge in breakfast room you can store some food but would be better to have a bigger fridge especially if you need to take a water bladder that's been chilling overnight ready for a day in the hills during warm weather. Free parking and so close to walk in to Keswick.

What a lovely place to stay. We booked room 8 right at the top of the house, and had incredible views across Keswick. The walk to Keswick is 2-3 minutes (if that).

The room and hotel was spotless. There is a breakfast room where you can use the fridge and bowls/plates. This was great for having an early breakfast and getting out to the fells.

James and Ruth were lovely hosts, giving us little tips about the mountains and a tip off about the northern lights. Will definitely stay again

3 generations of our family stayed at Cumbria House in June and highly recommend it! Ruth and James are exceptionally warm, thoughtful, welcoming accommodating and helpful hosts. The house was comfortable, clean, centrally located with convenient parking and offered everything we could have needed to cater for all of us. A great place to stay in Keswick!

My family and I stayed at Cumbria House in September and really enjoyed it. Ruth and James are relaxed but attentive hosts, the decor is stylish, the breakfasts are excellent and the rooms are very comfortable. As a family spread over 4 rooms we really appreciated the sitting room with welcoming fire that meant we could get together in comfort. Last but not least, the guest house is very central and has parking on site. I would love to go back.

This little cottage home was clean and bright with bedrooms upstairs. I had a bedroom with bath down the hall. It had everything I needed including nice little touches in the bathroom like Q-tips and shampoo and conditioner. The kitchen was well equipped and coffee, milk, and tea were provided, my bed was very comfortable, and we could easily walk to the downtown. It was a great place to stay. I highly recommend it.

A lovely guesthouse just moments away from either Keswick center or Derwentwater. James and Ruth were excellent hosts. We'd definitely stay again.

A lovely house with lots of varieties of rooms. We hired the whole house for the family. Very clean and tidy in close proximity to the town. At the rear lovely view of houses and mountains. 4 allocated spaces for vehicle's. We had a fab holiday. Excellent facilities to cater for your holiday.

We recently stayed as a group of 11. James and Ruth were so helpful before we arrived. The house was lovely and plenty of space for such a big group, would definitely recommend.

The hosts have a strong knowledge of the surrounding trails for hikes. Excellent breakfast with lots to choose from and clean comfy rooms.

Definitally a must! Fantastic hosts and a great location for exploring the lakes district. From the rooms to the food, everything was excellent!

Super room and the bnb is not far from Derwent Water let you know about breakfast tomorrow give it 5*
