Pippin Cottage

First visit to Pippin Cottage and looking forward to our next one in the New Year. Stayed in quite a few around Keswick and this is by far the best.
Spotlessly clean and tidy and a great location across from the park which is handy for the dog. Only 100 yards from the town centre so easy to get food or shopping. Excellent

I have just had a very enjoyable stay at Pippin Cottage with my daughter and her Cocker spaniel. On arrival we were delighted with the accommodation. The kitchen is very usable and has all the facilities needed. I confess we did not make full use of kitchen because the restaurants and pubs in the area are superb.
Upstairs the bedrooms and shower room are delightful. Being located opposite Fitz Park the cottage was great for early morning walks with the dog.
The places we ate in Keswick were The Pheasant pub for Sunday lunch (booking advised! very popular, we booked 3 weeks before we went), The Fellpack, The Wainwright Pub & The Royal Oak. Further afield we went to the Ambleside Inn and also the Quayside in Bowness. All were excellent meals and had a good atmosphere. All were dog-friendly.
Keswick is an ideal place to stay with superb facilities and good shopping opportunities. I would recommend Pippin Cottage for your stay.

We've stayed in Pippin Cottage twice. Loved it so much the first week that we booked for a fortnight the following year. It's a beautifully decorated cottage, spacious and comfortable. The location is brilliant - less than 5 mins walk into the top of Keswick town centre and just opposite Fitz Park for walks. Liked the addition of motion-activated plug in lights for nipping to the bathroom at night and it was really helpful having a voucher for a service wash at the laundrette just down the road. Highly recommended. Best holiday cottage we've ever stayed in

We very much enjoyed our stay at Pippin Cottage. We had our little Border Terrier with us so situated directly across across from Fitz Park was a real bonus. Walkout to the top of town was literally 2 minutes so great access to all that Keswick has to offer.

A terrific holiday let that I'll be recommending to my family and friends.

We stayed for the week over Christmas. We think it is the most well equipped cottage we have ever stayed in especially kitchen wise. The rooms are all beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. We slept in the bedroom at the back and actually contacted the owner when we got back home to ask for details of the mattress as we both slept so well. We would highly recommend Pippin Cottage and hope to stay there many more times.

I would really recommend Pippin Cottage. The location is wonderful - across the road from a park which is great for dogwalkers and very close to the centre of Keswick. The cottage is immaculate with a stunning bathroom and kitchen and a very cute garden with an apple tree. It is perfect for people with dogs like us. Of course, the Lake District is amazing with some great eating places and wonderful cakes at Brysons. Never did get to park in Bowness though- absolutely impossible!!. This is a great place to stay. Go - you'll love it.

Lovely cottage in a great central location within easy walking distance to Keswick town centre. The cottage is beautifully furnished with very comfy beds and a gorgeous shower room. A big bonus is off road car parking and a lovely private courtyard garden.

Pippin Cottage is a lovely house very close to Keswick Town Centre and overlooking Fitz Park. It has all the amenities you could require for a base in this beautiful part of the world. The house is very well presented, clean and comfortable. There were only two of us but there are two double bedrooms so a party of four would have no problem. The best recommendation I can give is we liked it so much we immediately booked it for next year. We can recommend Cash Bela Italian restaurant and the cafe on Fitz Park which supports people with special needs.

We absolutely love Keswick & have been visiting for many years now, it is a very special place close to our hearts. Staying at Pippin makes it all the more magical, it’s is such a beautifully designed house with everything provided that is needed. Very comfortable beds with lovely soft bedding, the bathroom is a firm favourite with us as it is so spacious, Lucie leaves us all soft, fluffy towels so that saves space in the case too ! The personal touches that Lucie does like the welcome bubbly, tea, coffee, milk to get you started before we make the lovely trip to Booths - our favourite food shop place. A lovely courtyard garden at pippin is lovely just to sit in and have your morning cuppa, we always use the back entrance although mum in law used the front door on this visit due to her mobility. Right across the road from pippin is the lovely big park, great for a walk with the dogs and the museum there is small but really interesting and again a must to visit. We don’t visit the pencil museum as we have been so many times over the years, before the flood and after when it was rebuilt, and it is highly recommended and they have a lovely shop full of derwent equipment, great for the upcoming artist. The best drawing pencils of all time ! The rest of the family stayed close by in B & Bs and we had a usual gathering at the fantastic ‘ Sultan’s of Keswick ‘ amazing food ! And we never miss a visit to the Italian ‘ Casa Bella ‘ had our usual stroll with the dogs up Latrigg really enjoyable walk with a beautiful view, we even managed to take a walk up Blencathra which was an achievement. The puzzle place is a must to visit, great for kids young and old, crazy golf at fitz park is something we never miss and all get quite competitive with the family, but great fun. Needless to say we are ready booked to visit again next year.

We had a great weeks stay at Pippin Cottage, ideally located for town centre and restaurants and as a base for local and further afield walks, Lucie the owner provided a personal welcome and was on hand to resolve any small issues promptly. The cottage itself is spacious, well equipped and comfortable we fully intend returning in the future. Our best restaurant experience was at Thyme Bistro but we also enjoyed eating out at Lyzzick Hall, The George, The Pheasant Inn and Derwent Walker. As for walks we would recommend a trip to Buttermere for a walk around the lake, driving there over Newlands Pass and returning via the Honister Pass - breathtaking scenery, if your up for something more strenuous walk from the cottage and take in Walla Crag, Bleaberry Fall and High Seat returning to Keswick via Ashness Bridge and Derwentwater, a good 11 mile hike with just under 2500 feet of ascent - again breathtaking views, also some good walks in Borrowdale but be ready to get wet, apparently it always rains there 😊😊

Pippin Cottage is such a beautiful cottage so tastefully decorated & we wanted for nothing, everything was thought out so well & was it just perfect. There was nothing I could add that was missing. The cottage was spotlessly clean & with new guidelines we felt very safe & secure.
It is in a great location for anyone being handy for Keswick shops & restaurants as well as walking to Skiddaw, Latrigg or a saunter along by the river.
We will definitely be returning in the future.

Pippin Cottage is an absolute gem in the heart of Keswick. Everything about this cottage is of a very high standard. Immaculately clean. Very spacious. It really has everything you need. It overlooks Fitz Park. The owner, Lucy, is on hand if you need anything. Lucy was very accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back. Good choice for eating out. Plenty of pubs and restaurants offering high quality food. It is advisable to book in advance as they are all very busy. Plenty walks in Keswick. We especially loved the 10 mile picturesque walk around Derwentwater. Stopping off at the Mary Mount Hotel for lunch. Would recommend it. Another easy walk if that's what you prefer with stunning views is Buttermere. Cannot wait to come back. Bill and Wendy.

Absolutely gorgeous property that has everything you need for a truly comfortable stay. It is the perfect base for exploring Keswick and the stunning scenery of the Lakes.

Excellent cottage, stayed many times. Perfect for the dogs opposite the park. Lucie is always welcoming. Looking forward to our next stay.

Spotlessly clean and the property was decorated and furnished to a high standard throughout. Property located around 5 minutes walk from the town which was lovely to go in for breakfast some mornings.

Very modern and excellently appointed cottage. Great location for the town center and nearby walks. Would definitely stay here again.
