Best home-made pie I’ve had in decades - lovely pastry, chunks of chicken & gammon ham in a tasty creamy Brie sauce. It sounds weird but it worked so well. Husband ended up having three courses cos he couldn’t resist.

On a mini break in Herefordshire and decided to call in for some food and drinks. Had to wait for a bit as the kitchen hadn’t opened but it was worth the wait. Very nice food and friendly service. Would definitely eat there again if we lived locally.

Wow, lovely food, the owners are brilliant, can't do enough for you. Shame he's a Villa fan. Seriously though, fabulous. We will be back and using the campsite. Perfect 👌

Stopped here for lunch on a family walk through the nearby woods. A brilliant place for lunch, with friendly staff and plenty of space both inside and out. It was Friday so we had fish and chips, which were really excellent --- very nicely cooked and presented. Nice beer too! Highly recommended.

Had a really tasty Sunday lunch plus dessert. Had a dog so we sat outside under the covered area which was nice in the sunshine so turned out well. Would recommend.

Loved the pork belly!!! Not the cosiest pub we’ve ever been to but they have good food, if you like pork belly then you should definitely give it a try here!

Lovely, proper pub! Staff were great and the beer garden was a suntrap. Really enjoyed our visit.

Near perfect pub. Very well kept Timothy Taylor beer, lovely warm welcome, lovely old building, excellent food (even for vegans), and very dog friendly. Small quibble is that it's not closer to Essex where I live. :-)

Want a great Sunday roast look no further. The staff were very helpful and patient. The food was cooked to perfection, try it.

The wife and I have had a lovely Sunday dinner, a lovely big portion with very friendly staff, well worth a visit if anyone is in the area

I came in here with my dog today for the first time and sat by the bar and was very impressed with the quality of the food, and how friendly and welcoming the staff were. They also gave my dog some sausages. Desert was home made and delicious.

No booking but made welcome. 5 star for home cooked food and friendly service. Highly recommended. Relaxed atmosphere .

What a pleasure to find a real pub with a great range of ales and with a warm welcoming atmosphere. To top it off they serve great food. All the staff are friendly and make it feel like your local, even though we had never been before. There is a big car park and an outdoor area.

Great pub fantastic staff and the food was brilliant. Proper pies not just a dish with a pastry lid, they have a good selection of ales what more could you want.

Such a lovely old pub with great food & friendly staff. Staff were fab to my two naughty little dogs, the Moon Burgers were incredible and the pub is exactly what you want from a country pub. Couldn't rate it more highly and we'll definitely be back

This pub is awesome. Great staff and food. Highly recommend it if you are in the village on holiday or whatever.
