Eat at No 5

We read about this very intimate eat-in / takeaway little place. Great reviews.
Upon entering, we met the proprietor's father and mother in law. The family was warm and welcoming as we were seated. The food was made to order using fresh ingredients. A member of my group chose the Greek Panini. I selected the beef & bacon meatballs with pasta in tomato and garlic sauce.
Everything was wonderful. If you are ever in Buxton, look this café / deli up for a real treat.

Lovely place. My husband found them via trip advisor and they lived up to reviews. Food freshly cooked and all tasted great, we had a breakfast and a breakfast sandwich. Sandwich fillings and salad all looked fresh and appetising and next time we come we’ll get sandwiches and cakes for a picnic. Staff all very friendly and told us about the gardens which we would have missed absolutely beautiful gardens/park thank you. See you soon.

The Best full English I've ever had! We went in on Saturday morning for something to set us up for the day and were not disappointed. The owner served us and was really friendly. I had a delicious mocha and a full English, my partner had a latte and full English, the food came out very hot and cooked to perfection. I ordered a sandwich and drink to takeaway for my dinner, yet to report on that but I'm sure it'll be as delicious as everything else. I think we've found our regular breakfast place, can't wait to go back!

We rang up this morning and was met with a pleasant response considering first thing in the morning and he reserved us a table and food was beautiful alongside a wonderful coffee👍🏽

What a great place to stop for a bite to eat while out cycling. There's both eat in and a take away service. The food is excellent, well priced and lovingly prepared. Coffee is good too. Contactless payment accepted. You won't be disappointed 😎

Had a lovely lunch today, food was amazing and presentation was 10/10. Staff were very welcoming and pleasant.

Friendly family run cafe, with the owner, a former hotel head chef with many years experience, knows how to cook and make cakes. The pulled pork on ciabatta with peppercorn sauce was incredible. And hats off to those Viennese Whirls...biggest I've ever seen.

What a brilliant, brilliant little place! I passed through Buxton en route to The Lakes on my bike and was thrilled to discover No 5. The food was utterly delicious and the staff were incredibly friendly. Definitely recommend to locals and tourists alike!

Friendly staff and delicious homemade food with extensive menu and flavours to stimulate the taste buds. Beautiful presentations too, loved my visit, thank you.

Just had a top quality breakfast at this wonderful eatery whilst out biking in the area. Worth the trip from Sheffield and will definately revisit. Look how the bacon has been grilled to make the small amount of fat crispy. Look how the eggs are very fresh and perfectly fried with no runny fat. All served with a jug of maple syrup. To dye for!
My mate had full English which he said was excellent. Breakfasts are rarely as good as this from elsewhere.
The owner invited us to park right outside.
Cafe owners should take lessons here. This is how it should be done.

What a little gem! Tastiest poached eggs I've even had out and perfectly cooked. Was nice that we could bring the dog in.

Beautiful cafe with an amazing breakfast menu! Opens early (8AM) so if you’re passing through you must stop and taste the homemade food here!

Always amazing I go all the time and the food is fresh, healthy and on point consistently. The cakes are delicious as well. Really hearty place and it shows in the food and the people who run it are lovely, polite and friendly :)

Brilliant (little) cafe, staff so friendly & the food was delicious. Lots of returning customers for take out with good chit-chat making for a good atmosphere. Dogs welcome too, will definitely return.

We found sanctuary here on a soggy Saturday morning! Super friendly, accomodating owners and delicious food. The cooked breakfast was very generous for the price. If we get a chance to go again I'll have the avocado with seed mix and poached egg with Sriracha. My wife had the avocado with her veggie breakfast and it was very tasty.

Best place on earth!! Iv been in restaurant around the world and this one is by far the best excellent food incredibly friendly people great atmosphere great great great 👍👍👍👍

What a great find this place was. Just down the road from the premier inn we were staying at and we came here every morning for breakfast as it was that good. Very friendly and polite owner and all the food is cooked fresh, either to eat in or take out. I would recommend the breakfast panini!
