Booked a table while away on our holiday last week. It was a Saturday night and the place was packed with locals - which is always a good sign!

Our drinks order was taken quickly and didn't have to wait too long for our food either, which was surprising considering how busy they were. My husband & I both chose to have the burgers, a choice we didn't regret as these were probably the best burgers we have ever had. The chips were just as nice as was the delicious salad it was all served with.

Like mostly everyone, we don't eat out as much as we would like to, so this was a real treat for us while on holiday.

Highly recommend 👌

Could not fault this place, after a disastrous experience with the Ken Bridge Hotel @ loch Ken, phoned the Masonic Arms for a last minute dining reservation who were able to seat us within 90 minutes which we were happy to wait as the staff were so honest and professional. The dining areas got a lovely feel to it, nice and bright, clean and all of the staff are happy to help, they could not do enough for you. The bar and the dining area were full, and had a lovely atmosphere, even with such a full service we were never sat waiting, plenty of staff working to keep everything running smoothly and the food was delicious! Will come back again as not only did they save the evening they made it a special holiday night out to remember! Thank you Masonic Arms

Sunday carvery was excellent! Staff very friendly and accommodating, good atmosphere! Food was very tasty, tried my best at seconds, but couldn't manage another mouthful. I even passed at pudding, although the choices looked very good!

Totally stunning!
Welcoming staff, friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
The food was out of this world: beef cheek ✅ and sticky toffee pudding ✅ worth travelling miles and miles for!
Will definitely be back. Thanks so much for helping to celebrate a birthday!

We only went for a pint and a bite to eat, so can't comment on rooms. Popular warm and cosy pub. Welcoming staff, real fire, dog friendly. Food was really good, the curry looked very popular based on the number of plates the staff were carrying.

Unusually for Scotland, a proper pub. This is a good old fashioned, warm and friendly country pub. There were two well kept real ales to chose from. The food was okay, I had a battered Haggis for starter, with nice crisp batter, very tasty. The main wasn't so good, it was supposed to be Beef Medallions and not the pice of tough flat iron steak that it was. It came on a bed of noodles with a very bland sauce. No veggies to be seen. I suspect I just chose the wrong dish. Never mind, the rest of the pub made up for it. I wouldn't hesitate to return.

Went here when staying nearby on new years eve and day. I have to say what a fantastic place, brilliant staff and great locals. Food was lovely here when we had a meal on new year's day, they even had a local folk band playing delightful tunes through the afternoon. Can't fault the place or staff absolutely loved it here

We stayed at the Masonic Arms between Christmas and New year. They offered a fully furnished apartment with three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a lovey kitchen and lounge. As always, it's the little things that make for a great stay. The kitchen had the expected tea and coffee, with milk, buns, jam and butter, granola bars and fruit. We felt spoiled!
Bathrooms were luxurious and pampering.
The lounge was beautifully decorated and comfortable for the four of us to snuggle up for a movie night.
We cooked full meals in the well equipped kitchen, and in general had a blast.
BTW, don't skip the masonic Arms breakfast! It's to die for.

We booked for 7 on a Sunday to try their Carvery.
The restaurant was busy but we were served quickly.
The menu was extensive with options for “the weans” and adults alike.
The Carvery was well laid out with 4 types of roast meat and vegetables.
I haven’t tasted meat like this for years! Tasty, succulent and generous portions.
My brother had the burger and commented, also about the taste of the beef. Stunning.
Starters and Puddings were all equally as good.
Beautiful village with oodles of charm.
Highly recommend.
