New Caerphilly Fish Bar & Cafe

So I was looking at reviews for a fish and chip shop in town and this got the best reviews, I thought Google is pretty good for accuracy and decided to try it out. Well we weren't disappointed at all, it was a lovely experience. The fish was fresh the batter wasn't too thick and the staff very friendly and helpful. We sat down to eat and there was table service. I ordered the fish with chips and mushy peas. My mum ordered just a cod and battered sausage. It was good quality and they have a good range of soft drinks. Also they did provide a glass of water for free. I enjoyed it and highly recommend it to others. There is a good reason why it's busy and has many many good reviews.

Solid little chip shop / cafe and easily the best one in Caerphilly. Great chips, the batter is as light as a feather and traditional curry sauce. The service was relaxed and welcoming too.

I am really fussy when I have chicken curry and rice but this was lush just enough has I don't eat much , grandson loved his beefburger and chips and hubby said pie and chips were lovely next time he will order small of chips we would give 10/10 rating

Googled for a fish and chip shop and come across this establishment and after seeing the reviews decided to give it a go and was not disappointed.
Food was excellent - the fish is beautiful and some of the best Irish curry I've had!
Staff also very friendly and helpful.
Highly recommend!

The food here is always fresh and the fish cooked to order. Its incredibly clean, the staff are always friendly and you're greeted with a welcome smile.

I to am a driver and must admit this is definitely one of the best places I have to collect from. The girls are always happy and cheerful. Some drivers need to realize that sometimes food as to be cooked fresh and it takes time. The girls always let you know if you have to wait. 90% of the time you walk in and everything is ready for you. I have seen the cctv of the last drivers comments. You were way out of line with your comments and you caused your own problems that day.

I came here with my newborn and mother-in-law last time we visited family and I must say this is one of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had!! Brilliant quality and amazing value for money. The staff and manager were also super friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be visiting again and recommending this place to friends and family.

My wife and i thoroughly enjoyed our fish lunch this afternoon in the cafe. Light crispy batter and a very healthy portion of cod. As good as i have tasted. Very good value for money.Staff were friendly and attentive. Spot on. Thank you.

Just ordered the chicken curry chips and rice. Bloody lovely and well worth price. Chicken is chicken breast NOT processed cubes.
And no grease. Happy customer. Knocks spots off the other fish shops in caerphilly town.

Visited here today with my dad. Wish I could give 6 stars. The food was great, best fish and chips I’ve had and the service was fantastic. There is a large variety of food on the menu. The cafe is in the back of the chip shop. I can’t recommend this place enough if you are after a good fish and chip shop. 😊

This is the best chippy in Caerphilly, great chips, fish bits are great value for money. Everything sold is high quality and the fruity curry is a must to try. Only downside is it is difficult to park outside but the walk is worth it.

The fish is cooked to order and is always good everything is clean and we'll set up for social distancing they even sterilise the cash. Every meal over the last couple of weeks has been great have offers on and staff are friendly and helpful 👍

Great traditional chippy, love it, good chips, great fish in good proper batter, good portions AND SAVELOYS TOO! GET IN THERE! I only wish there was a Chippy like this where I live; but I might hit 200Kgs by Xmas 🤪

Best chip shop in caerphilly. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Both the shop and cafe area are spotless. The fish is to die for.
