We had an amazing dinner at the Crispin Inn for our 12th wedding anniversary , nice quaint historic building and lovely atmosphere, staff were incredibly friendly and attentive but above all the burger I had was not only massive but the quality was amazing- the best burger I’ve ever eaten ( and I’ve eaten a few 😂) the quality of the meat was absolutely stunning, my wife had the chicken burger which was the same! thank you so much!! Can’t wait to come again!

Best Sunday roast lunch I've had in years. Loads of perfectly cooked veg with it and fab gravy. Super cozy real pub, people and food. Dont miss it if you are here

Great Sunday lunch, I had the lamb and beef duo, meat was cooked perfectly. Plenty of gluten free options on the main menu, was too full to have a pudding.

Four of us ate ate at the Crispin one Saturday night in February. We had pre-booked a table, which was probably the best idea as there were quite few people eating. The staff were friendly and welcoming, providing a good service. Dogs on leads are permitted in most areas, except the dining room. There's a car park in front of the pub plus free on street parking. The bathrooms are clean and tidy. We each had 2 courses, a bottle of wine and beers - £56 per couple. The food was served on hot plates, very tasty and sizeable portions. Two of us had smaller sizes of fish and chips, together with a cod loin. The liver and bacon apparently was "excellent"!
I'm not quite sure how we made room for the crumble, but we managed, and it was splendid. Make sure you are hungry before visiting! The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed with a good number of local people visiting - always a good sign.
A good place to visit.

Village centre pub with lots of character and seating on the street next to the Church next door from which to watch the world go by. Parking may be difficult on busy days but is normally OK.

Chef/Landlord so passionate about his food and it really shows. The Sunday roasts and traditional dishes are amazing. Chips, pies and stews etc to die for! All made from his Grandma’s recipes and proper delicious British grub. Good selection of beers and lovely staff.

Christmas visit to our parent’s grave on a miserable wet day. Crispin in had a roaring fire, a friendly landlord and a great menu. Fish and chips followed by bread and butter pudding certainly hit the spot. Couldn’t have been more happy.

Visited on a quiet Wednesday afternoon. Just had a drink. Seemed a nice pub in a nice village. Loved the bit of history on the sign outside too.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. The chef is fantastic. We had steak and ale pie and the beef melted in our mouths. The chips were chunky and gravy just as its meant to be.... Hot and rich and plenty of it. Highly recommended x
