I ordered chips and beer. Amazing ale. Great portion of chips. Crispy and big portion. Tables outside are by the river next to the road. :) good experience!

Sally’s steaks are incomparable! We’ve been looking forward to them for months since we decided to break our long journey here again.
Great local beers, superb pub food, lovely atmosphere, what else to say!

Food portions are MASSIVE and you won't be hungry afterwards, and puddings are fresh tasting like Raspberries Pavlova really lovely and with fresh fruit juice

Don't forget butty bach ale, local destination produce, really nice and not bitter

First time visit here. A warm welcome from the staff and excellent service. Good pub fayre plus specials with generous portions. A great stop on a circular walk from Whitestone car park. Dog and walking boot friendly. Might do that walk more often.

Absolutely 💯 stunning beautiful place called in 2 weeks ago just to have a drink as we was out walking the staff was so friendly and helpful so I thourt I'd book for Sunday dinner today we arrived was shown ower table bye a lovly lady , now the best bit , the Sunday dinner was delicious it's the best Sunday dinner me and my partner have eaten out can't wait to go back the staff and owners got it perfect what a beautiful place we like traveling and eaten in many of places but the Rose and Crown is the best all fresh produce cooked to perfection and tasted delicious many thanks

Found us a table last minute. Fabulous roast dinner the biggest I've had yet and piping hot. Friendly helpful staff.

Good solid pub with great food and beer, what's not to love? Their steak and ale pie never fails to impress ;)

Went in for a quick pint as staying locally for a night. Super friendly and chatty bar staff which meant we came back later for more drinks and a meal. A great local place with caring staff and great home cooked food. Small but great menu which meant the kitchen could handle all dishes and keep the quality high. Would highly recommend this over other local options.
Open log fire is always a bonus in the winter.

Reserved a table for five to celebrate my elderly mother’s birthday today. The food was superb, the service was extremely warm and welcoming, and the ‘proper pub’ atmosphere was fantastic. We couldn’t have asked for better, and will certainly be back before too long.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great pub, sat by the window with a view of the river. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. My son a steak, 'it was the best'

Lovely place on the northern edge of Tintern. I was here on a Sunday around lunchtime but early enough to grab a table next to the river for a pint which on a sunny day is beautiful. Good Wye Valley ales on tap. I didn't stay for food but apparently it would have been worth booking a reservation for Sunday lunch as they get pretty busy.

Massive gorgeous garden with a great menu. Great location to have a rest and a drink after a long walk in the woods.

Sat by the river, we hadn't booked and wished we had! Fortunately a family cancelled so we were able to enjoy some good pub food.

This is a typical locals pub with amazing home cooked food and great service. I would definitely recommend this place.

Absolutely delicious lunch (Lasagne for me and Cottage pie for the other) in a great pub with friendly locals and good prices. Jase behind the bar had a great taste in music too and seemed to be playing my record collection. Perfect.

Went to the Rose and Crown as it was my dads 70th and had a wonderful evening. The food was fabulous and the staff were so accommodating. Will definitely visit again. Thank you.
