St Clears Castle

It's not a castle.. Its a hill.. But it's a nice view when you get to the top and a nice quiet little playground at the bottom

Nice place, but if it’s a proper castle you’re looking for you will be deeply disappointed.

It's a mound, but as mounds go- this one is a good one

I love this castle mound been going here since the 70s and you have Lovely views of st Clair's from the top of this mound 🙏 st Clair's castle is an early 12th century earthwork motte and bailey fortress founded by the norman invaders. The castle stands in the junction of the taff and cenin rivers and was besieged, burnt and captured by various Welsh princes, in 1153, 1189, and 1215 🙏🏴??????

An ancient site and an impressive man made earth mound. Nice open grass area with some swings.

What Castle

This needs some imagination. Now only a hill with flag pole. You can climb up the hill. But no remains exist. There is a wall plaque showing history and picture of what it looked like

Just a historical hill with a small park for children at the bottom..

Not very exciting

Nothing there. Just a big mound of dirt. No castle
