Brilliant campsite, it was very quiet when we visited so we got to pick where we wanted to park as it was just us in our campervan and someone with a caravan.

Toilets and showers immaculate, seriously gold standard for cleanliness.

The views are amazing, we spotted deer and barn owls.

The owner gave us a knock in the evening to welcome us and gave us information about the area.

Great walks and lovely coastline.

Fantastic campsite, really friendly, great views, good value, plenty of space per pitch and no ridiculous rules about which way your van faces, or which door you can open!
Plus a path down to a secret beach - will definitely be back

Just back from a 9 night stay with our touring caravan. Excellent site, best views we've ever had, massive pitches, clean warm shower facilities.

Just wanted to share our recent experience of our camping trip to solway view campsite. We were a family of 4, travelling with another family. Leading up to our stay, Neil and Patricia were very helpful answering our questions and arranging for our friends and us to be pitched together.
We love Dumfries and Galloway but haven't holidayed here for a few years. The site was in a wonderful spot, the views were lovely, some nice walks from the campsite, including down to a nice bay. The pitch sizes were great and well thought out with benches and fire pits.
The kids loved the green in front of our pitch for games and the play park was a hit.
We really had a great time. A credit to the owners - we would love to return.

Great spacious pitches for our caravan. Toilets spotlessly clean. Brilliant dog play area, ours loves it. The owners are fabulous and there (if needed) throughout our stay. Our second time here, and we are looking forward to our next.

We stayed in the 'Running Water' Wigwams which have a small loo and wash hand basin and a handy kitchen area with sink, fridge, microwave/grill, kettle and toaster. All spotlessly clean on arrival.
There's plenty of space around the Wigwams and they each have there own covered picnic/BBQ area and picnic tables with views to the sea.
We met and chatted with other guests, some camping and some in their campervans.....all of the same opinion, a fantastic place to stay!
The staff are lovely and so helpful.
Booking was easy too!
Can't recommend Solway View highly enough.

Wow! Without a doubt the most beautiful, "off the beaten track" site we have stayed at. Large, flat pitches each with a fire pit and picnic bench. Our girls loved the little playground and especially the rope swing in the tree. The cook house/washing up buildings are such a great idea and much more extensive than at other sites, with space to sit inside to eat in poor weather. Toilet/shower facilities were always clean and the hot water plentiful and a great temperature. We were very fortunate to have a fabulous, sunny week and enjoyed several evening walks down to the little White Bay to play on the beach/rock pools. The surrounding area is stunning and has some real little gems of beaches and scenery. We will definitely be back.

We love coming here. Have stayed in our own tent and also a wigwam. Plenty of space for the children to roam. Beaches not far away. Isn't overcrowded like other sites we have been to. Plenty of local places to visit.

Excellent little site, superb views in a peaceful location. Site and facilities very well managed and looked after by helpful and friendly owners. Large pitches. Great for children and dogs with play areas, enclosed dog walk, woodland and coastal walks to small beach coves. Loads of wildlife to see. Always something to do. We’ll be back. Lovely town of Kirkcudbright not too far with some lovely shops.

Just had a lovely couple of days here over the weekend. Very nicely laid out site,, clean and tidy toilets and laundry area . Pleasant owner . Plenty of things to do on site and off site. Nice walks in local vicinity. Recommended.

Really enjoyed our short stay here. The location is amazing with fabulous views. Loads of wildlife and walks. The site and the facilities are very clean and tidy and a credit to the Owners. We hope to return soon.

A fantastic little camp site, just exactly what we were looking for. Stayed for 2 nights the first weekend in August and highly recommend. Such a friendly relaxing site, great walks and our dog loved his first camping trip along with our 10 year old son. Already booked for next year.

Last stayed here 7 years ago, won't be so long again, simply stunning. Neil and Patricia are so welcoming and can't do enough for you. Beautiful location with lots to do in the surrounding area.

I can't rate this campsite highly enough. Neil and Patricia have got it spot on with the perfect balance of an efficient but relaxed and welcoming approach.

The pitches are so spacious and great for families and groups, with plenty of space to run around and play. The site exceeded our expectations in terms of cleanliness and facilities, and the moth catching lesson with Peter was an excellent impromptu experience!

The kids loved the secluded bay only 10 minutes walk from the campsite.
