Medina Food Store

I’ve been coming this shop last two years. Much recommended for meat and Asian goods.

A vast and eclectic selection of all kinds of food for all ethnicities, as well as a wide range of drinks, whether you prefer fruit juices, soda, or something a little bit stronger!

You can also find a range of household essentials (e.g. toiletries), which is also very handy. Meanwhile the staff on the tills are very efficient.

This shop is a goldmine and it's fun exploring!!

Free parking in a small car park on burton avenue. Good quality butchers with a great selection of Asian groceries.

Great variety of Asian grocery items, specially from india and Pakistan. They also have a great collection of fresh halal meat items and options to buy in bulk in great prices.

I have been going to Medina for 10 years. Medina Food stores are the best butchers in Watford. They have the freshest and best fresh fruit and Veg in town. There is lots of places to park so access is easy. The staff are wonderful and always treat me so well. Its well organised and easy to locate my favourite groceries. I often get the staff to help me load my shopping into the car as I am getting older and unable to lift any heavy loads and the staff always load the boot of my car and I always leave feeling like a valued customer. 5 *****

Easy to pop in and out with free parking. Meats are spot on!! Free delivery over £40. Butchers are helpful prepping the chicken ready for the pot.

I shop after work in the evening but when I was about to pay I realised I have no card or any cash,(which I thought I had) as he knew my situation he gave me receipt and ask me to pay when I visit shop next time. I am so grateful for his kindness as my family had lovely dinner. Honestly I was sucked with his reaction. Makes me feel like I am in Nepal. Glad to have a such shopkeeper in Watford. I paid next morning. Infinity star for this shop🙏

Medina Food store is one of the best place for shopping 🛒 I highly recommend to everyone. The best people ever anyone works there very very friendly and helpful to all customers many times I had No money with me at the time but no problems to pay they always let me go pay when you back next time & always look after me when I needed something couldn't get to the shop they always bring to me home 🏡 they always look after customers as family. Butchers always cut to order even if they are busy.

Recently moved to Watford 4months ago and decided to try Medina due to all the reviews. And I was not disappointed. The meat and fresh produce is of good quality and I know I’m getting value for my money.

My dad is in hospital, and really wanted some drink! I live 50 minutes away so I called this shop and I asked them if possible could they deliver just a few cans to the hospital, this was no problem at all for them and they did this straight away. They made an older man very very happy. I can’t thank them enough.

Great selection of Halal meat and fresh fruit and veg. All at reasonable prices and friendly service from all the staff.

Will be visiting again in the future.

I order meat over the phone every week and its always ready when I pick up, with exactly what I ordered.

I have been shopping at medina for over 7 years and would recommend them to everyone. I hate shopping for fruit and veg at the big supermarkets as the fruit is always raw and so expensive. The fruit and veg at medina is always ripe and tasty and much cheaper than the big supermarkets.
The guys at the meat counter are always really helpful and when I have special orders they go over and beyond to help. Just ordered halal duck for Boxing Day. I did try the halal butchers in Asda but have to say medina are way better.
I have recommended medina to all my friends both Muslim and non Muslim and they love it too. Although it is halal their customers a real mix. As a white British woman I have often felt uncomfortable going into some halal shops but the team at Medina are so friendly with everyone and will often help me carry my shopping to the car. Also being able to phone in an order and have it ready to collect was really helpful.
