One Stop

As I entered the shop, the tinkling of a small bell echoed through the narrow aisles. The owner himself was behind the counter, his thin spectacles perched on his nose and a pencil behind his ear. He greeted me with a curt nod and a quick flick of his wrist, gesturing towards the goods on display.

The store was a veritable cornucopia of necessities and indulgences. Tins of biscuits and crackers, sacks of flour and rice, bottles of oil and vinegar, all vied for attention with the latest newspapers and magazines. The place was a hive of activity, with customers darting in and out, calling out their orders and haggling over prices.

We always shop in here every day, they are very nice and helpful aswell.

Good store for a quick stop. Has all the items needed to make a meal for the family, get a meal deal for lunch or treat urself from the extensive sweet treats section

Average reasonable stacked popular convenience store

Good local store for things like milk, bread and news paper but you wouldn't want to do a larger shop here. Owned by Tesco. Basically a Tesco Express. More expensive than in the larger stores

I have used this shop for over 8 years and got used to the lack of staff on the tills and atm machine regularly being broken. Today however causes me to write a review. There is no queue system to be aware if the shop if full or not which normally still works ok, If you open the door you are politely asked to wait. Until today, when on opening the door less than 5cm I was shouted at by the staff to "get out". After waiting for 4 people to leave I then approached the door again to be given a very firm no. After 6 people left I was allowed in. On reaching the tills I mentioned that where I understand the covid restrictions it is not acceptable to scream at the unknowing customers trying to enter. I was abruptly cut off, that they didnt scream and basically told where to go. One Stop please note, you exist because of customers, I have used you for years, understand you may be short staffed, and the atm being broken is not your fault. I understand covid regulations are stressful and difficult to maintain, BUT you are a customer facing organisation, how about some pride in how you treat your customers. I have always been friendly and polite to your staff, it is a real shame they cannot follow suit.

Need training in customer service, manner in which they speak to customers is disgusting. Will be using Sea View stores in future who value customers and are always welcoming and polite , something certain members of staff in this shop could learn from. They seem to find it a inconvenience if they have to stop talking to one another to serve a customer, not that it stops them from carrying on and ignoring the customer completely anyway.

Too lacklustre of choice, very overpriced and meal deals are extremely underwhelming to say the least!
