Brilliant shop. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good atmosphere. I don't know if they still do it, but you used to be able to buy a bag of floating bird feed to take down to the river nearby, sold in a paper bag for a £1. I highly recommend Homecrafts in Caversham.

It's still a brilliant shop. Floating bird food is now £2.50 in a paper bag to go feed the river or pond birds. You can buy a sack for £8. There's a good selection of bird food towards the back of the store or in plastic buckets inside the store, towards the front.

There was a cheerful, helpful chap serving today (Thursday) in the shop. I had a little wander about while I was in there. It's such a great shop. There are so many useful products.

Really fascinating place you can find anything you like a little shop .. Neil and Carl are very friendly to help in many occasions have helped me with DIY stuff .. highly recommend it ..

I was working on a job just around the corner from Homecrafts Hardware today and I was two rawplugs short! I popped in but only had my credit card and no cash. The gentlemen behind the till gave me a pack for free! Lovely gesture, will definitely get more bits from here in future!

This is the most wonderful shop. They have an extensive and carefully thought out stock. You can find items that are not available anywhere else in the area.
I have often found that for convenience, 'in stock' and the ability to see the goods they beat the internet hands down.
Also, they know where everything is and and are a joy to deal with.

Place is brilliant, staff are helpful and knowledgeable and it has everything you need and more. Its better than the huge DIY warehouses. Paint, locks, TV connectors, and emergency tarpaulin. Hope it always stays open. !!

Friendly helpful staff. Has all of your hardware needs. Better than going to the big shed (ie B&Q, etc)

Great local shop to have! Staff are always super helpful and friendly. The shop looks small on the outside but they have a surprising amount of stock. This place has really helped me out a few times since buying my first home in lower Caversham. :)

Caversham would be a poorer place without Homecrafts, which sells everything from knitting wool to home plumbing, electrical, garden pet supplies. Nothing is too much trouble for the friendly staff.

A little goldmine of a shop full of a wide assortment of things you will probably need at some time. Staff are great, really helpful.

I love this shop - I always find something useful here, and the staff are just wonderful, really helpful guys. They have everything from balls of wool to tools to bird food, you're pretty much guaranteed to find something you need in this shop!

A very conveniently located and friendly outlet that has got almost everything for the household bits n bobs that we may need in a hurry. Of course prices are a bit inflated and will never match large DIY stores but this is right at your doorstep!

The customer service here is just insanely good, all the staff can't help enough and seemed to remember me from my first visit there. Really enjoy shopping here and it has a big range as the store expands quite far back.

An absolute necessary hardware /DIY, shop for Caversham , the stock is unbelievable, and the range of gods is really second to none , The staff are , friendly ,helpful and try to please . It is a pleasure to enter the shop.
