SimplyFresh Old Oak

If you're walking or biking the Grand Union Canal and need food/drink, I rec' SimplyFresh. It's an up market Co-op shop. Bright and clean. Open late - till 10pm on week days. Just 30 yards from the Old Oak Lane bridge, near Harlesden. Easy off and back and has a bike ramp. A good range of food and drink.

New management is fantastic, great people still work there. Very handy little shop and now selling co-op instead of sainsburys. All my friends are saying that they’re super happy as well.

The shop is near my house and it’s super convenient for me to go for my daily shopping there. Normally I don’t really care about how the staff is treating the costumers but last time I dropped a large bottle of Lenor and the liquid was all over the floor. I offered to pay for it and I was surprised to see that a nice guy working there kept saying it’s fine and he even cleaned the floor. I mean, I felt really bad, and I literally wanted to do anything to make it up to them and he just kept calm trying to cool me down. Lovely shop and also great coffee. If you’re vegan, they have a lot of interesting stuff especially crisps which you don’t really find at Tesco or Sainsbury’s.

All about Monica the manager. Give it to her she always works hard. And you can see she's a true leader in the store. Give the woman a raise.

Some changes have been made along 2022, the most remarkable one is the replacement of Sainsbury's products to Co-Op ones.

Prices are now very reasonable, sometimes even cheaper than Sainsbury's Local or similar to Tesco Express, which is a very welcome movement.

The shop is now well staffed and I didn't see expired products in the shelves anymore.

Congratulations to SimplyFresh for the changes and for continuing to invest in the area, as it is the only grocery shop between Willesden Junction and North Acton.

I actually think these negative reviews are pretty unfair. The fruit and veg are now by Sainsbury's and seemed reasonable in quality and price. What sets this shop aside is the range of organic, gluten free and vegan options available. I would say three times as much of these types of products compared to Sainbury's Locals/Tesco Metros. Also there are some nice continental tinned goods and sauces/soup that you don't find in the chains. Naturally these premium products will be priced higher than average but there are standard basic items available that cost pretty much the same. I really liked this store and would recommend it. Will be back in two weeks for sure!

Interesting range of products, some perhaps a little overpriced - good and reasonably priced coffee to go though. Need to be a bit more careful with their stock management, I have previously purchased yogurt that had already gone past its Use By date. Friendly staff.

Clean and tidy, well stocked. Seems quite shinny inside. So many colours, love the way light bounces around, especially near the carrots.
