Co-op Food - Dalston - Stoke Newington Road

The staff at this co op are always so helpful, they always go the extra mile and nothing is too much trouble for them .I particularly like the co op mince pies that are cooked out back by their baker, a lovely young man. when there are none available in-store he will make some and tell me when to return, he has done this on many occasions for me so I wanted to mention him for being so helpful and kind. Thanks for all the mince pies.

This co-op is smart and well maintained. It had all I wanted, passing by on a Sunday afternoon. A good size for a small store with all the usual sections. The beer and wine selection was very good I thought for the size of the place. Located a few minutes walk from Dalston Kingsland Overground station.

I went to the coop through automatic doors, there were around 4 aisles, food, toiletries.

At the back of one aisle was a bakery section with doughnuts, croissants and some lovely fresh warm crusty baguettes. The baguette, quite large cost 95p. 6 Bramley apple pie pack £1.30.

They have self-checkouts with dividers which make it good in terms of Covid germ safety and in terms of feeling like you're in your own little space and with a little bit of privacy. The self-checkout machine worked well, the shop seemed quite nice and easy to find your way around.

The range of produce is fresh and delightful. The customer service is somewhat lacking but overall there are self-service machines available to reduce the queue.

Shelves are always stacked and produce is fresh. Although small, a great alternative to some of the bigger stores.

Too busy and not bothered practicing social distance.

Very quiet in there which is nice.

Poor selection of food, often out of stock of basics and fresh vegetables. Extortionate prices. Poorly maintained with leaking celling that hasn’t been fixed in years.

Only plus side, whoever’s in charge for music in that store has good taste.

Medium size Co-op supermarket who could have better stock. Bakery always disappointing and aisles too narrow. Seem to run out regularly, supply or staff problems?

Staff shortage, too many cages and boxes on shop floor always low on stock as they are situated on the high road you get alot of people coming in for their lunch not enough sandwiches, need someone by tills as you spend your short lunch time hunting for staff. Apart from that nice store
