Its nice to have a diy shop on the high street. They have most of what you need for diy project with a great selection of high quality paints.

A "proper" hardware store. Visually, staff-wise and myriad items'-wise, this is a treasure trove of really useful tools and products, items that really matter and cannot be found with the certainty I felt walking into this High Street shop. To be supported at all cost.

I always enjoy going to Reeve and Sons for hardware and plumbing. Good old fashioned customer service. And they have what you want.

I shop here regularly and often seek advice as well. The staff are friendly, approachable and very knowledgeable. For a relatively small store they have pretty much everything you will ever need from a DIY perspective. I have often tried to purchase something and the staff have highlighted a more effective and cheaper way to do the job. Although slightly more expensive than a huge chain store I would rather pay that little extra for the amazing service I receive everytime I'm there.

We are lucky to have a real hardware shop where you can buy 1 screw of almost any size and description. Staff can always discuss and recommend the best item for you. Prices I find cheaper than the multiples and far bigger range. Support your local shop.

Simply the best place for friendly advice and high quality hardware supplies. Yes, sometimes there is a queue at the till, but that's is just because everyone is made time for. Way better tool & paint selection than our nearest 'large diy store'.

Local, traditional, independent proper hardware store. Smells like granddad's garden shed!! Lovely. Staff are Awesome, Friendly and always happy to help. Always round total cost down. Way cheaper than the large diy stores and much better knowledge.

So helpful and friendly... And patient! I couldn't quite decide on what shade of grey I needed, but the gentleman at the store spent the time with me to find the right match, giving all kinds of advice about the pigments, lighting, area etc. Even though other paint stores are closer to me, I will now only use these guys.

This is a jewel in Maldons crown. What a fabulous shop. Friendly extremely knowledgeable staff. You can buy anything and everything for a home DIY project or for a professional job. Don't know why anyone would go to any of the big stores. Reasonably competitively priced, probably cheaper than those big stores and helpful advice thrown in. Do yourself a favour and go take a look, you will really be pleasantly surprised. Support our local businesses. This is one of Maldons oldest that I thoroughly recommend.

Reeves is a lifeline shop where most of your hardware for the home requirements can be met. OK 99%, but staff always on hand to try and help advise on a solution. A gem of a shop for the whole community. 😊

Very knowledgeable staff. Seems to pack in far more than the huge Wickes down the road into a tiny space. By far the best DIY place in Maldon. Just don't expect to get huge sheets of MDF etc.

Good high street ironmongery store, got everything i needed, wanted a certain colour paint and the made it from the chart, but i needed a primer which wasn't on the charts but they mixed me a tin that was perfect, great customer service. Would sooner go to a shop like this than B&Q anyday
