Bells Stores

We buy our meat only from Bells, it is higher priced than the meat from nearby Tesco (expected as the quality at Bells is superior), but Bells is no more expensive than the likes of M&S yet the quality is definitely better. The red meats are excellent of course, however a good comparison is the chicken breast; I cook ones from Bells and they remain plump and tasty. From the supermarkets in the past, they ended up half the size, bland and with water sloshing in the pan. Hence Bells is better value for money in my books.

Bells Butchers is a little gem, the quality of their meat is far superior to supermarkets and other butchers. The staff are also extremely knowledge about different cuts of meat which are more reasonable and often tastier, especially if you have a slow cooker. There pork sausages, chipolatas and bacon are the best I've ever tasted.

All the meat I've bought here has been excellent. An old-school, reliable quality butcher and a pleasant experience. Update: bought my Christmas meat here. Ham and sausages were outstanding and the turkey was hands down the best we've ever had.

Fantastic sausages and great value meat. Not the pretentious butchers you find in some places. Staff really helpful and lots of great value and tasting cuts available. There really is a good reason it's been there so long..

Best bacon you can find anywhere, amazing lamb and pork and their whole chickens are full of flavour. Don't come here for anything fancy, just great quality traditional meat.

Just had our first bbq of the season and the food from Bells made it perfect. The Bourbon skewers were particularly excellent!

Incredibly helpful if you don't know which meat is best or how much you might need. Fantastic taste, locally sourced and trimmed/ cut if required.

Sausages had NO fat come from them when cooked. I was amazed. Shopped at various butchers around the UK and never had that before.
