Helpful and friendly staff. The selection is good, fresh bakery is also very good.

I’m not from the area and the store layout was hard to navigate and I was in a rush but Hanou offered me some help and showed me to the items I was looking for. She was very friendly and approachable.

I came in quickly yesterday to get some essentials and I was served by the loveliest woman called Hanu. I was having a really bad day as it was but she made a funny joke and asked me how I was. it truly made my day. Thank you Hanu.

Usually shop at Tesco so was lost for items but was helped the entire time by Hanou, made my day

I have often thought of writing a review about this store. It is situated at nearly at the bottom of my road so when it first opened I thought I would give it a try. I expected an impersonal service and anonymity. What I found from day one was a wonderful welcome that has never faltered to this day. It has grown and grown, I look forward to popping in. The welcome starts with the security man at the door. This is achieved without him loosing his strong presence. I have also seen him dealing with difficult issues, calmly and with authority. I don’t know his name and when the regular man isn’t on, you still get a welcome nod or a smile. For the rest of the staff, I don’t know how this store has managed to employ such lovely and helpful people across the board. I’m afraid that I don’t know everyone’s name but every person is always charming and helpful. Perhaps because I don’t like to use the self service automated till and always use the manned tills I have more dealings with the staff. I don’t know because they are always welcoming and helpful on the shop floor too. I have never had to wait for the till to be manned either.
From the managers down all the staff seemed to have been hand picked for their charm and friendliness. Well done Sainsbury’s for such a special store. I will mention those whose name I do know and are perhaps more often in the store when I shop. Rita and Oz, Christopher, Alder, Ben and Max, they couldn’t be more kind and friendly and would always help you find some item for you or let you know when it might be in. They will often take a look in the back to see if the item you need hasn’t been put out yet. A big smile when they bring it out for you too. I say again well done Sainsbury’s for employing such great staff at this branch, they really are exceptional so friendly, great humour, fun and efficient. It’s the staff that make store and keep me coming back. The food is always fresh and well presented and the store is always kept to a high standard of cleanliness.

I come here often and recently all of tge staff were in halloween make-up which really suits the friendly service I always get here.
I like this place but I do wish they had more selection in general.
