Friendly and relaxing to browse in a decent bookshop ! They are so hard to find. There are even a couple of comfy sofas to sit and preview new books!

Great bookshop, bought The Paris Library which is a most excellent read

I adore this book shop, bargain books, little cafe upstairs and so reasonably priced.
The book selection is vast ranging from adults to children and lots of board games and gifts. I live 2 hours away and we have no qualms about jumping in the car and coming here just for a homemade scone and a nosey around the books!

Walkers has a mix of cards, chocolates, gifts etc. Downstairs. The books are upstairs, which is kept up to date, grouped into type, including children's. Well run shop.

Great selection of cards, magazines and chocolates downstairs and a lovely book room upstairs in this historic building on Stamford High Street. It's my first stop to find a card and a present and support a local shop.
