Sainsbury's

Twiggy is a delight! As someone who's worked retail for eight years I know how stressful it can be. I was in a long cue at the till, and I found it admirable how she was able to keep up with the pace, as it can definitely be a challenge! Sainsbury's was my last job so I know the ins and outs of the company. Twiggy has a bubbly personality, and was able to stay upbeat in what I can imagine to be a stressful situation!

Very convenient location and really good prices, never wait in a queue, just a bit on the small side, so not as much selection as the bigger Sainsburys.

It was a nice shopping experience discounted price and availability of house hold things will recommend to friends and family

Loved this place..my go to place for everything from groceries to toiletries...every thing is so easily available and affordable... friendly and helpful staff too....I used to visit the one in the Town center...been to the one on Friar's street too..but the one in Town Center is more homely and nice to visit...will miss this place dearly 💜💜

Like 👍 this store they don't move the products around too much have a good selection of vegetarian food and I like 😋 the nectar card offers 😋

Nice place, but i don't find a public toilet in Sainsbury

Sainsburys has been a life saver for me during the lockdown,I shop in the OAP hour and load up my scooter for the week,its feels very safe and well run,they have managed to stock all my needs.

Everything for daily needs you can find here. I get all my groceries from here. Reasonable prices. Freshness is something you need to check of fruits and veggies. So far I am satisfied with what I get fom here. Also this is right next to Reading station so its very convienient while taking way back home from the station.

It's a bit more expensive but a better shopping experience in general.

Forgot a couple of items so popped in to see if I could get them here. Surprisingly this smaller branch of Sainsbury's had more available items than the larger store in Friar Street.
I have been back several times now instead of using the 'main' store.
Staff are friendly and helpful and store is clean.
They also have a hot food section. I have not bought from it as it is always closed when I go in, so cannot comment on what is offers.

Situated at the end of Broad St, opposite the oracle entrance, this store has a limited product range but has a wide choice of food and drink.
This store has a wide verity of bakery products in it's bakery corner, and a good selection of frozen foods in its frozen foods area.

Well stocked with a large range of products. Helpful staff.

A supermarket? In the town centre? Yes please! Ever been in town and thought, "hey I could really use a supermarket right about now!"? Well, fret no more Sainsbury's has you covered. Wether in the mood for a cheeky baked good or some washing detergent you can't go wrong with the big orange shop.

All of the staff that work here are pleasant and efficient!
Marlene however is AMAZING! My boyfriend and I just don't have the superlatives to complement her. She gives you that corner shop feel, when she has the chance.
If there is a Q in the shop, she acknowledges you and smiles as she serves the lunchtime crowd.

I think Sainsbury's is great. The overall feeling of mediocrity really makes one feel what it is like to be middle class. There is not the enthusiasm for their work that one finds in Waitrose or other more premium retail establishments, yet there is still a solid competence which one doesn't get in the type of places that one doesn't wish to admit to visiting.

Great Brewery tap room used by staff as well as public great service and atmosphere.

It's my 3rd options for buying groceries especially lemons, carrots & some fresh vegetables. Simple & easy checkouts with self check tills as in Tesco & smart checkout who are more lazy or always try to do things simple.
