Not sure why this place has so many low, negative reviews. I went in to pick up my amazon parcel and was out of the shop in less than a minute, with my parcel in my hands. A very polite and efficient guy behind the counter scanned my code, we had a small chat about my funny-sounding name and I was on my merry way home, in less than a minute, as I've previously stated. Stay blessed, City News! 😎👍

This place always deals with my parcels efficiently and promptly. The older gentleman is always there and always easy to deal with. 😀

I bought some stuff here, kind of weird they gave me some free parcels as I was about to leave though

Staff helped me pick out some nice chocolate for my nephew, but was difficult to pick up a parcel.

Avoid collecting parcels. I gave them the benefit of the doubt after a couple of bad incidents prior to COVID..alas no improvement....abusive, reluctant to hand over parcel..."where's the bar code". I don't have a barcode, I have an email and I have ID..."Your in the way and stopping me doing my job". Why do you accept parcels if it''s inconvenient? INCONVENIENCE STORE DESIGNED TO ABUSE CUSTOMERS,,,,,last chance guys...oh I forgot, you'll be pleased won't you???

One of the guys working there is the rudest person l've come across working in a shop! It's such a shame they have a business in Kemptown.
Just picked up my four Yodel parcels. The guys found it very difficult to find them first and the rude one told me he only found three of them. I asked them about the missing one so that l could chase it. Then, somehow, it magically appeared!
He then told me to take them and never come back!!!
Horrible person! Someone should teach him about customer service and good manners!

i took a very large box to send and one staff told me that he cannot take it which i understand. but he also told me that he can throw the box away if i leave it which is not necessary to say. other staff is helpful and asked him to take the box. will not go back there.

Very bad shop with poor customer service. As a shop owner myself I can say that this is not how a business is run and I have seen first hand how they treat their customers and do not follow regulations correctly. Stay away.

Took in my coffee pods to be recycled rude old bald man shouting were closed ...shouting at me about a barcode .. I just left because he was so ignorant, then he threw the heavy bag of pods at me, hitting my leg, and ran down the street, swearing at me.

He needs to retire and hand over to the nice young guy who works there... considering reporting to police

Extremely rude young man. very loud and aggressive to customers including myself. Demanded my phone to scan an eBay item. and walked off to another counter with it. My phone case has cards and cash in it and I said that I would hold my phone. He said " I'm not gonna nick your money man" I said I didn't want him holding my phone because of Covid. (I'm a vulnerable person)He replied that I should not come out if that's how I felt and told me that I should order my eBay click and collect from somewhere else. I certainly will! Vile attitude. Avoid.

Shop had my CollectPlus parcel delivered on Friday and then unprecedentedly shut the shop without notifying anywhere online.

I've been calling and visiting the shop twice daily since Friday (it is now Wednesday by the time of writing this) and I'm yet to hear anything back or see it open.

Absolutely avoid getting your parcels delivered here.

Won't give me my parcel without a bar code - I DON'T HAVE ONE and said they don't deal with Evri and my parcel is an Evri -
it says collect at City News this is correct!!

Horrible experience.
The worker in the late shift is disgusting, the way that he talk to people is horrible.
I point that worker because he made me not going more to that shop but the rest of the workers are VERY bad as well. I have never been in a place with that poor customer service, seems like they are making you a favour for selling you something or send your parcel.

Wont go again - thousand of off licences around with better workers.

Shop owner lies about being closed when I want to go and pick up a parcel I know this cause the yodel delivery driver said the shop was closed couldn't collect my parcel Yesterday he was in shop was not closed But he refused to pick up my parcel from yodel shop owner don't care about customs service only his selfish attitude to click collect parcels from anyone. shop owner said I work from myself not yodel delivery service what a rude person !!
