What a fantastic village shop and Post Office with very friendly and helpful staff. The store has recently had a makeover and is bright, clean and well organised. The prices are very reasonable and the shop sticks a good range of products and local produce such as products from the Bidlea Dairy. The staff are always kind and pleasant.

Read some bad reviews about the store so really wanted to go in! The older gentleman that served us was alright you know, polite and friendly. He even gave customer before me a free carrier bag! His friend/colleague also really friendly also, making conversation with us randomers, so either I got him on a really good day or everyone else got him on a grizzly day. IMHO. Peace.

If I could have given 0 stars I would I went into the shop earlier this week to be told by Lawrence that he did not want customers like me who don't spend enough money and wasn't bothered if I never went back into his shop again this was after spending months chatting to him because we both use to do karate and we've had some friendly chats I was quite shocked at the way he spoke to me anyway I went back this morning and saw him in the car park and said good morning to him and asked him if he was in a better mood to which he turned to someone in the car park and started telling them how he told me straight about not spending enough money in his shop to which I replied when I had my shop and I wanted my customers to spend more in stead of being rude I tell them about the special offers but was always grateful whatever custom they had given me to which he replied I haven't got time to waist on people like you and to get lost because I am boring him to which I decided to give him a piece of my mind and drove away someone like him doesn't deserve to be serving the people and should go and have some customer service training it's been a long time since I've meet someone who is as obnoxious as him the only conclusion I can draw from this is that because he's selling the shop is that he's decided to be rude to people who don't spend enough so that the person who is buying this shop sees the bad reviews and thinks they'll be able to increase their turnover

In a time where small businesses are being closed due to a lack of trade, we should all support our local village stores. However in this case, the rather rude and obnoxious older gentleman that runs the store makes this a very difficult endeavor. It's also difficult to support community stores like this when they refuse to provide the postal services that they are supposed to. If you have more than one or two small parcels to send, this post office refuses to take them - today we had to traipse across to the local sorting office to send around 10 small (pre-paid) parcels as they (rudely) refused to take them. Unfortunately this level of customer service and lack of provision for services they are licensed, and obligated, to provide makes it difficult to support this local business at all.

The shop is old and tired. It's over priced and the customer service is terrible. You feel like you are somehow invading the space of the 72 year old owner just by being in there. That's assuming you can hear him over his excessively loud classical music he plays to remind you he may work in a shop but he is better than you. I will never shop here again and I live here!

Your bullying on people using drones within your villiage is pretty childish, especially for saying that its illigal to fly over a post office! I think maybe you should get familiar with the drone laws yourself. Stop being pathetic!

Just looked at a few properties in Lower Peover, nice village, nice pub and the prices compared to houses near me in Gloucestershire where unbelievably cheap for what you get for your money, I went into the local Post Office and this is where my search in this village ended, The owner needs to get some manners , he's rude he's obnoxious , he needs to retire very very quickly
