Oxfam

I was helped by the loveliest lady and I really wish I got her name to sing her praises more, she went above and beyond to help me and the other staff members also were fantastic! I saw so many negative reviews on the customer service in this store and I just wanted to clear this up, working in retail is challenging and these people are volunteers for a charity, giving their time to help others. This was the best service I think I’ve ever received, I will definitely be back to find more treasures.

Great selection of items. Customer service can be a little hard to deal with at times.

As others have noted, customer service can be a little bit unpredictable here. That being said, the book section has recently been expanded so it's worth checking in on!

Also seems to be closed surprisingly often, not sure if this is due to staffing issues, or accidental competition with the (now closed) other Oxfam in Guildford.

I paid the parking just to be able to visit their shop. The shop should open at 9.30 I have waited 15 minutes and at 9.45 they still closed. It is not the first time it happens. They open whenever they feel like to. Not reliable at all

I attended the shop a few weeks ago. Members of staff were so rude. I was surprised that people could behave like this and I saw them treat every single one of their customers very, very badly. I have never witnessed such poor customer service. They behaved in a bad way and I was very disgusted. They were rude and did not treat people with dignity. I do not see how they can get away with this. They were far from nice and I cannot believe they had the audacity to behave in this manner. I do hope that things change because the cause for which money is being raised is good. Too bad that people feel the need to behave in a crass manner. They need to learn how to treat people and I hope they learn their lesson and that they cannot continue to treat people badly. It was not nice to have to watch people receive such poor levels of customer service. The lady on the till was ever so rude and I cannot believe that she treats others like this. She should be taught how to treat people in a civilised way and be taught some class and manners.

Cant believe how rude a member of staff was on my last visit. If she bothered to listen to what the customer was saying instead of talking over them she wouldnt have neeeded to ask me the same two questions five times because I did give the answer the first time to each question. She just kept hounding and ignoring and being rude and if I ever see she is in there I will not enter the shop again. Far too rude and arrogant for a customer service role. I note from other reviews rudeness in this store seems to be the norm. Shame they haven't listened and done anything about it.

The staff are extremely rude.
They are turning people away with good quality items becaseue they have no room to stock them. If they stopped charging over the RRP and realised that it's 2nd 3rd hand and that every penny counts they would make a lot more money in there and they would be able to take the stock in the first place.

I hoped to buy some unique gifts but it appears they do not honor their posted opening hours. Rather sad as I had quite a few things from their full-price international items that I was hoping to purchase.
