Walkers of Trowell

Purposely took the couple of hour trip down to purchase a set of free spirit rods. When investing in a set of rods I always want to hold them and ‘get a feel’ a lot of shops can be sparsely stocked, not this one!

A very friendly call before hand to confirm stock. Walked in to a tackle shop that is loaded with everything you could think and need of, an extremely impressive stock so much so I felt abit lost with the variety. This was no problem though as extremely friendly and importantly knowledgeable staff were there to offer advice and help.

Couldn’t recommend this place enough and will most definitely be back.

My days of fishing are long gone, but I do look at the ROD' s every time I'm in the loft. All my gear and equipment that I aquired over the years I bought from Walkers as they are the best in the area for fishing tackle and accessories. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly, have a look at this place you will not be disappointed

Always used Walkers since I was 12 years old same friendly staff they have just got older like me lol, plenty of stock with lots of variety. If you want it today this is the place instead of waiting on couriers to say they are coming then they don’t show up with the goods. Can’t beat the good old shop see what you are buying in front of your eyes then hand over the cash and walk away whistling straight to the lake for some action.🎣

I visited David’s shop today 26th April 23, after hunting around the country for a Weihrauch air rifle. I was introduced to Gary upstairs, and boy does he know his stuff. I was mesmerised for 90 minutes & after his expert advice walked out with the complete package. I wouldn’t hesitate contacting Walkers of Trowell anytime for my shooting needs. A 5* Service, Thanks guys!

Always a friendly greeting and as always spot on advice from people who know what they are talking about. Extremely well stocked too. Other tackle shops come and go but Walkers are still there at the forefront of the trade, and that's for good reason!

I stayed outside knitting while he went in to make a purchase. He's very impressed with the wide range of items and the knowledgeable staff. Him happy, so I'm happy for him.

Ordered some winter weather gear on Friday evening and they arrived at my door on Tuesday. Excellent service and well packed. Its the second time I have used them and would definitely recommend them to friends

Huge range of everything to do with fishing. Also air rifles and shotguns.
Very knowledgeable staff. Don't be afraid if you're a novice, they will help set you on the right path.

Great little shop, only use it for the shooting supplies upstairs but the 2 gents up there are very knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about anything gun related.

What a fantastic company for customer service. They checked the address was correct before sending an online order, and due to the item being the wrong fit, refunded my account on the day of the return complete with email confirmation. Fantastic.

Purchased a Free Spirit S-Lite SPM rod. Brilliant service, friendly people and they give some great advice.

Probably 20 years since I was last here. Great selection of fly-fishing tackle. Large selection of products and very helpful and savy staff happy to give advice. Wish it was closer, but well worth the journey.

Popped in to look around and left with an air rifle! Very nice people to deal with and even kept the rifle aside for me till I could collect it. 10/10 will deal with these guys again when I'm back in Nottingham
