Amazing full meat sausages. Smoked bacon is just as good! Their black pudding however is out of this world! If you live near this butchers then please appreciate what you have.

Great farm shop. Usually pop in on journeys to and from Sheffield but today we came for pie at the Old Hall Hotel. Meat mainly from their own farm. Lots of local produce from cheeses, veg to baked goods. The pork sausages sre amongst the best you will ever taste. We organise sausage "bake offs" doing blind tasting from visits across the country. Dales of Kirkby Lonsdale used to be our no1 but this slightly edges it. Great chickens etc. Hope the freezer can take it all.

A perfect end to our holiday. Popped into butchers for some produce on way home to Kent . Have just eaten the best fillet steak ever. Can’t wait to try the sausages and lamb chops. Staff incredibly friendly and welcoming.

Ordered food from watsons for a weekend with friends in Castleton, ordered breakfast pastries, bbq meat and vegetables. Food was reasonably priced and very good quality, would go anywhere else.

Recommended by the local shop in Castleton, this butcher is only a 5 minute drive away. We bought sirloin and sausages for the BBQ which were remarkably good. So good, we went back again a couple of days later to buy some more. The beef was the highlight, very flavoursome , juicy and tender. Very well trimmed too. The sausages were meaty and lovely. Highly recommended!

Well was camper vaning last week and seen this place on my dog walking so called in fri. seen Proper Cornish pasties on the counter, so got all 3 left. my dads a Cornishman and was very happy. also sausage rolls, burgers, bacon, sausages and pork pie where all a delight. only problem I have I live in Sutton in Ashfield which is 50 mins away or I would be here everyweek . need to try the joints and steaks. I don't think I will be disappointed if the above is anything to go on. oh the young girl serving me was very pleasant. keep up the great work. :)

Situated in Hope within walking distance from the CAMC site at Castleton. We got some Lamb steaks from here which were excellent also local grown potatoes. The staff were friendly and efficient.

Outstanding local butcher. You can request sausage flavours and they'll have them for you next day. Wonderful. Helpful staff.

As a pensioner, on my own now, I had two half legs of lamb and Easter Sunday lunch was thus made lovely for me with this beautiful meat! 80 miles !!
