Running Bear

I visited Running Bear on recommendation from a running clinic and I can’t thank them enough, specifically Rik and his lovely doggy, for all the help and support provided. I went in for a new pair of running shoes as I am running the Manchester Half Marathon in May and my current shoes were absolutely knackered and causing me so much pain! I came out with a new pair of lovely shoes perfect for me and my needs, plus a whole host of advice to improve my running. I put it straight into practice and ran my first sub 30 min 5k in over 7 years. I am absolutely ecstatic. Thank you so much to Rik and the team ❤🏃‍♀

Friendly, attentive & knowledgeable assistants. An interesting layout that could possibly be improved upon. Overall a good experience and well worth a visit for anyone interested in a number of sports although primarily running, as the shop name/brand suggests.

I bought 2 pairs of running shoes. Brilliant service & gait analysis. I wasn’t sure about running on a treadmill, never having done it before, but it was fine! You really can’t beat trying on the shoes and getting expert advice. Great shop and friendly, knowledgable staff. Highly recommended.

I visited the shop in Alderley Edge today. Carol was fantastic and helped me and my partner buy a pair of running shoes which best suited us. I felt like i learnt alot from her experience. We both really appreciated the guidance that provided to us as we start our running journey!

Visited on Tuesday for a gait analysis. I was helped by Shaun, very informative and relaxed. He sorted me out with some excellent trainers. Highly recommend.

Very friendly and knowledge staff. Took the time needed to get the best shoe for me, trying a range of types and sizes on the treadmill. Didn't just try sell me the first pair or most expensive pair. Would definitely recommend.

Visited last year when I was in the area, I had heard many good reviews before hand. Visited on a busy Saturday, little wait for a gait analysis which was super useful, I was sure which shoe I wanted/needed which turned out it wasn't the right shoe for me after a few discussions and analysis. Let me swap back and too before making my decision which was super useful. Really appreciate the help in the minefield that is picking the correct trainers!

Had gait analysis and identified I needed some support. Tried a number of shoes finally settling an a Brooks pair. Wore them in the house a few times and just wasn’t happy. Went back to RB and tried more shoes on! Swapped for a pair of Hoka’s in a wide fit with no issue. Very happy with RB, Thanks 🙏

Have ordered several items over the past couple of years from Running Bear and its all been amazing.
The other month I placed an order which said it hadn't gone through so placed again and unfortunately 2 payments left my account. I called Running Bear as soon as I noticed and they were so helpful and refunded the extra amount straight away.
Amazing friendly company. I'm just gutted I don't live close by, or I'd be in the shop all the time

Following years of hip and knee related issues in distance running, a friend recommended I pay a visit to Running Bear, go on the tread mill for some guided analysis of my stride pattern. I had always gravitated towards Nike and Adidas, reluctantly, but what else are you supposed to do when that’s where everyone typically advises you. Anyway, a store assistant named Rick took great care of me and after 4/5 different shoes on the treadmill, we zeroed in one exactly what was causing my discomfort and how to overcome it. Long story short, I bought some shoes wonderfully fitting shoes, a brand I’d never considered that actually fixed the problem I had been having with Nike and Adidas. Unmatched customer service… anyway just come back from the most comfortable run in years! Cannot recommend enough. Thank you Rick!

Excellent running shop! First time buyer and ended up testing my gait before purchasing some ghost 15 trainers for an upcoming half marathon. Very friendly service and knowledgeable staff. Will be back for my next pair!

I have been coming here for several years for an annual gait analysis. I've also been to their Brooks trial evening (and pizza). The staff are knowledgeable and friendly and have always had time to help fit me with new trainers. I also get great help, encouragement and advice from them online and in their Facebook group. Thank you! Highly recommend.

What a great little specialist shop. They give a free gait analysis and were helpful without being pushy. It was nice that I wasn't rushed and they offered me all of the time and assistance I needed. I bought a few items, including shoes, and have to say that I'm happy with them all. I won't hesitate to return when I am in the market again...
... And I have just been back, the service was as helpful and unpressured as previously. Yet again I've come away happy and I'm sure that I'll be back.

Have been having issues in finding a running shoe that does not cause me foot pain in longer runs. Jordanna was amazing and after trying what felt like every single shoe left with what I hope is going to be “the one”. I came into the shop a few months ago wanting new trainers. The chap there was super helpful, and even tho I must have tried on 10 pairs of trainers but left with none he was more than happy to assist and give me advice… Great service!
