Tesco Extra

This place has really turned things around in the customer service department.
They have always had a very good selection of stuff both household and groceries, their meat products are arguably the best of any mainstream supermarket and Clubcard prices are very useful.
There was a period maybe 5 or 6 years back where their customer service was quite toxic but that lasted only a short time and it was back to the friendly store we know and love in this town. The pharmacy could be a bit better run but it’s open 7 days a week until 8pm on weekdays so you can’t really complain if sometimes the service is lacking.
Over all this store and its many facilities and services are absolutely essential to the people in this town and the surrounding villages and towns.

Absolutely lovely store, has everything you could want from food to clothing and mobile to electrical. After shopping they have a café there for you to sit and enjoy. Only problem is parking during the day.

The staff in the store are very pleasant, respectful and helpful. I brought my assistance dog in training in here for the first time and even when I had a medical episode staff checked to make sure I was okay. We will definitely be visiting again!

Have to give a big shout out to their passport renewal process. Excellent doesn't describe it well enough.
My new passport was back within a week

Visit my local Tesco, Baldock, at least 3 times a week. Today waited for someone to slice my bread....ar least 6 employees looked at me and walked on by....until McKenzie stopped from what job she was doing, asked me if she could help and promptly resolved the issue by finding a person who was trained to slice bread. I hope she is recognised for her great customer service! Thank you

I shop here about 3 times a week and have often done test shops in different main steam supermarkets and find with the new push on discounts with the tesco clubcard offers it’s always come out cheaper at tesco, the staff always seem happy and there’s a super happy person I often see on the collecting duties that always take the time to give a big happy hello. Helpful tip to all people looking for a double seated trolly? Ask a member of staff they still have inside hidden away and will get you one on request.

The store located inside an old style factory. Good carpark, a fuel station at the entrance. A good selection of products, clean and tidy, friendly staff. A Costa Cafe for hungry showers.

The staff are professional and organised. I must give a massive shout out to the young man who was extremely helpful at the self checkout today at 4 pm. Also, the pharmacy has taught me tolerance and patience accompanied by a nervous breakdown. I had a sweet elderly lady in front of me whilst queuing. She was collecting meds on, what Only could've been, the entire Anglia region. Finally I was able to actually buy some pain relief. I had queued so long I now have a birds nest on my head with a small blue egg in it.

This is definitely one of tesco's better stores. It's usually good for all veg, unlike competitors that are running short, and it's easy to get around. well stocked with excellent product range, added advantages are holiday money exchange, barbers, photo kiosk, pharmacy,

Ahaask on self service check out very help. Staff knowledgeable friendly. Excellant range of stock, clean calm music easy to park. Surprising amazing architecture facade. Able to buy everything I had on my list and more - thank you.

The best supermarket in the area. It is massive, stocks everything you could want at good prices. Practical layout. Beautiful and historic building. Staff are always pleasant. Ample parking.

Great store, got all the essentials and more. Lots of services, bank, package collection etc. Employees are helpful.

Popped in around 11pm last night wasn't feeling great with heat and an accident I had limping in had to use self service those tills fo not like me😒 so I asked a member of staff for some help and Ollie kindly put my shopping through and Nicola was their again very friendly was so lovely to get some help and wanted to say a big thank you to Ollie and to staff on tills I always get excellent customer service 🙂👍

My brother had a seizure (he has epilepsy) the team here were exceptional at helping him. Best team of staff and excellent supermarket.

I'm not from the area and popped in to see if I could get an in car charger for my little boys DVD player as I was about to drive back to Devon (4 hours) and I realised the DVD player was out of battery! I spoke to Ryan in the electrical department, he couldn't have been more helpful, absolutely fantastic service. Unfortunately they didnt have what I needed but he spent time to look through packets and even see what was available elsewhere in the area. Customer service at its finest, thank you Ryan!

My partner and l shop very early so we have to self scan there is a young woman called debbie who is 2nd to none she gives 110% and nothing is to much trouble I hope you look after your staff my partner works for NHS but so have all your staff worked thro this pandemic we also would like to say please stop moving things around all the customers talk and some have moved to sainsburys if any thing made us shop else where it would be this

Very friendly, helpful staff. Store is generally well stocked. Only criticism perhaps is that there are too few disabled parking bays, and they appear unregulated.

Great parking, huge offering, wonderful old architecture, the building used to be a Bra factory many years ago rumour has it.

This is an oddly large Tesco's given the area it is in. It looks like normal suburban area, you turn a corner and suddenly there is a huge store.

I drove here by mistake as I am new to the area and chose the wrong Tesco's in my Sat-nav.

It's huge - much bigger than my local Tesco Extra in Stevenage. Plus if you go later in the evening its very quiet.
