Best little supermarket around lovely friendly staff and still good prices and good quality products

Excellent choice and the prices can't be beaten. Friendly staff too. There are some great bargains in the XL freezer. Great location in the town.

I live nearby and get good service and great prices. The staff are really helpful and are a very happy group. I save about a third off my shopping from any other shop in Askern. And there are always new bargains on offer each day. Fresh food is wonderful, half the price of some Supermarkets, I always bag a few bargains. It's made a huge difference to my food bill and other products too. Try it you'll be amazed. I've been again today and bagged several new ranges of products. I've friends for dinner tomorrow evening and one person is vegan. So I chose a huge dish of Mac and Cheese, and some gorgeous fresh broccoli, a black bean pot, red onions and greek yoghurt. Make a dressing with the yoghurt and black bean pot. Toast a few tortillas flip once in a frying pan to warm , place a cloth over until all you need are warm. Then fry red onions, mushrooms, broccoli and tomatoes together with a bit of butter oil and garlic. Sprinkle over Mac and Cheese from Heron ( bought),delicious, serves 4 easily. Also you can fill the tortillas with that mixture, makes it go along way , fold tortillas twice into a triangle then fry one side and sprinkle with the sauce. So two ways for vegan meals. I love the selection in Heron, different every day. The staff there are always a great help to me and others, especially where I live in Askern DN6. ❤

This place is dealing with the current situation just fine , they operate a 1 in 1 out policy and queueing outside until you're able to shop as safe as possible. Keep up the good work ladies and gents .

Got to be one of the cheapest options around with good selection of foods great staff too

I don't know how we survived in our town.before this shop opened. Bargains galore go in for a couple of things and always come out with carrier bags .A brilliant shop x

Easy to get around on a mobility scooter, untill you get to the till and the display discount basket which makes it difficult, staff frendly and helpful
