Halfords - Greyhound Park (Chester)

I cannot say how lovely this experience was! The three chaps who helped with sales and fitting of the new bulbs, wipers and oil on my cars were amazing.

Initially I was hesitant on using Halfords as I felt it would be an impersonal experience where we would be rushed around but it was the complete opposite! The first chap who supported with the sale of the bulbs and fitting did everything he could to ensure I was getting the best price and put me at ease with price options to support my budget. He was super polite and even apologised for the wait which wasn’t very long for the fitter to come out. The fitter was so lovely, super polite and friendly. He chatted with me throughout the process and seemed genuine in taking an interest. When doing the winter inspection he suggested new wipers but wasn’t pushy or anything which made me instantly trust his advice and I went and purchased them there and then from another member of staff who like the previous two was friendly and helpful. Explained pricing options and what was needed. Lastly an oil change was needed and I didn’t even think but went and bought the suggested oil by the team (I usually would have shopped around but why bother when this service made me feel at ease and this was the best place!)

I will be using Halfords every time I need something changing on my or my family cars from now on

Message on my Audi A5 saying battery in remote fob needed replacing.
Went to the store and within 5 minutes they had replaced the battery and I had a spare battery as well for what I consider was an incredibly reasonable price.

If I had gone to the Audi main dealer they would probably ( based on pasted experience) have made me an appointment for weeks hence and it would have cost an arm and leg.

As always very pleased with Halfords.

We recently bought a hybrid bike for my son from Halfords Chester. Customer service was great and we bought a nice bike at a good price.
We had to take the bike back yo Halfords for some repairs and it was done promptly.
I would like to especially mention the name of ELVISE for his great communication, promptness and customer service.

All the staff upstairs on the bike section are friendly, very helpful and knowledgable about all the bikes, to give you reassurances and advice on how to look after your bike after its service. I will defiantly pay again for another great service on my ladies Boardman e bike.

I purchased an item a few weeks ago. This was a windscreen cover. I used it twice and it fell apart. The young man I spoke to was most helpful, understood my problem, and made a replacement immediately.

Booked my Mini Clubman in for a new battery, arrived at store for the work to be done. Halfords were spot on with my appointment time and the battery was replaced without any problems whilst I waited. ( One disappoint was no facilities in store for refreshments whilst waiting, a coffee machine would be much appreciated ).

Jake who served us went out of his way to ensure the car key battery purchased was fitted correctly. This took sometime and effort to get into the key itself. Many thanks

The team that looked after me for bike sales in Chester greyhound were knowledgable, patient and impartial. Great service and IMHO a great deal on a bike.

Wanted the tyre pressure checked on my car and Jake went beyond that and done a free 10 point check on my car, giving me peace of mind. Was super helpful thank you legend!!

Adjustments made to fairly new (6 months old) bike. All adjustments appropriate and helpful (re-positioning the brake levers to be more easily reached by child, tightening chain, fully inflating tyres).

I would like to say a very big thankyou to a young man named Jake who helped me out at the Halford Greyhound Park on 18.12.23. I was visiting Chester overnight with my daughter and grandaughter, when an alert appeared on my dashboard related to my tyres. I initially went to Lookers Vauxhall in Chester who were very unhelpful, but told me to go to Halfords. Jake resolved the problem very quickly and showed me what to do if the same happened again. Jake also checked the car over to ensure everything else was OK. I was able to return home to via the motorway feeling safe and confident that everything was OK.

So easy to buy online with Halfords and lads in the Chester Greyhound park went above and beyond, 1 even carried it down the stairs and carefully put in my car. Plus paying the extra £10 to have it built is well worth it as you know it's put together right and no big boxes to try and get rid of 😂

Had great service today from the Halfords shop in Chester on The Greyhound Park. I needed my tyre pressure checked and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Ben went the extra mile checking the oil and topping up my windscreen wash.
All this was free, no charges. I can highly recommend them, no job was too small.
I thought they were cheerful and efficient,
a great combination!
