Very good shop. Lots of handy things. I have found them particularly good for iPhone chargers and water. The water is always cold from large well stocked fridges. Staff are always very friendly and helpful. The lady tonight had very nice nails. Green nails. Previously there was a very nice man who helped me get a charger and he took everything out of the boxes to help me. They also have a very good selection of magazines., and books. Handy for travelling on the amazing GWR. In short definitely recommend.

Went here to buy a bag for 5p. Very friendly staff!

An essential store

This isn't the biggest WHSmith around, however it does have most items you need while commuting and I've often bought food last minute while catching my train because of the fast response at the checkouts.

Nice place for quick shopping.

Considerably overpriced for a lot of the consumables that they sell. A 500cl classic Coca Cola retails for £2.69 from this store. Yet just 10m away is a Boots that sells the same item for £1.90. That is a considerable percentage difference , and this type of example continues over to things like confectionary etc.

So be smart, and look around you.
You could save a considerable amount for the exact same items

The staff are rude and don't care about decent customer service

Marlboro Gold £17.50 while in marked it was still less than £12. very expensive shop robbing tourists and passengers as they don’t have much time or options available nearby.

Not only did the store not open on time according to the opening hours posted on the door consistently, but the staff were a bare minimum 10 minutes late for shift, unapologetic, and just unhelpful.

Very rude, incompetent staff, her name was Pritti, so rude & totally unhelpful, these kind of people should NOT be working at all.
Avoid this store everyone! Terrible customer service & high high prices.
