Another lovely card and gift shop.

Some nice gifts to be had here. Good little shop..also Thorntons outlet.

Some nice things in the shop but the assistants are not exactly customer focused. Patiently waited, they couldn’t find a price for some chocolates in their notepad. Was in a rush but they insisted on getting a price anyway. Finally managed to pay for my card so I could get on with my life.

The gifts in this store are great but there is a member of staff who made me feel like a criminal. Following me around the store peering around the corners staring at me.. if it wasnt for the fact I wanted the product I bought I would have walked out. I would like to say one lady on the till was very considerate, but the other really needs to be spoken to.

The company has no website?

I came in here today to check if they had a particular candle in stock. I approached the miserable middle aged lady with the ponytail and glasses who already had her racial predispositions towards me and kindly asked her if she had it in stock.

She didn't even look at me and just said "NO" - awkward 10 second pause - "All we have is what you see on the shelf". Is that honestly how you speak to customers that don't fit your ideal racial profile? I've seen the way you differentiate your spoken tone between white and non-white customers. We don't live in Hitler's Germany love, you ought to check your attitude.

Moments later, a white customer walked in and she was absolutely elated - "Oh hello Maureen! How lovely to see you!"

Completely out me off buying a candle. She was lucky I was in a good mood otherwise I would tell her to her face that her attitude was absolutely abhorrent.

Avoid this overpriced shop like the plague or the dragon with the ponytail and glasses might be watching you!
