The Local (Cafe/Convenience Store)

I’ve been using the Local from the day it opened, first of all as the shop and when the cafe opened I’ve been going there 4-5 days a week for my lunch. The food is of excellent quality and always fresh and reasonably priced. They are always happy to prepare my food for certain times when I place an order in advance so I can collect it. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and are professional at all times. I will be continuing to use the Local as a shop and cafe due to the friendly and professional service they deliver, I would like to say well done and thank you

Just had a full cooked breakfast here for the 1st time, and it was amazing! Lovely food, clean premises and the staff were very friendly. Lots of different things on the menu, and will definitely be back to try them. We'll done 🖒

Absolutely amazing service - never fail to impress. The new seating area is an amazing addition to the place and the staff are lovely. I pop in most days for my lunch at work and am obsessed with steak and cheese bars (would 100% recommend)

Having lived around the corner from McColls for years I rarely used the shop, even though they had lovely staff, as I found the Co-op to have better food options. Since the new owners have taken over I have seen a lot of change as they are looking to grow the business for the local community. With the new addition of their new Food to Go extension to the back of the store I have been lucky enough to find myself working for them and I am genuinely excited to see the business growing into a community driven place to shop. The owners really are driven by great service and giving back so come visit what is not just a business but a growing family I'm happy to be a part of, especially as I live in the village myself.

Went here for a coffee and chat after a Totsplay in Llanishen Rugby Club. 10 of us turn up with pushchairs/babies and they were able to accommodate. The staff are so lovely and friendly. I had a lovely hot chocolate too.

Hi we been going to the cafe since it open and we have been welcome every time and the staff are the most friendly people you can ask for the food is lush the latte is the best we have had and us glris love it
So please come in and try for yourself you will be made welcome all the time

Went to the café today the lady that served us was lovely very polite and happy to accommodate any needs we had, the food was amazing we will definitely be coming back 10/10 definitely deserves a good tip!

Steak bakes are to die for!! In my opinion I find them nicer than greggs! Lovely staff

Always a great service, we come here with a couple of other mums every Friday and everyone is lovely and accommodating 😊 would be great if there were toilets with baby changing facilities though 😊
