The Store

They are so kind, I left my dog outside in front of the store and they asked me to go in with him, and even gave him some pet treats ;)
And, of course, I found what I was looking for. Recommended 100 %

Been going here for years since it was called pennywise before. This is one of those gem of a shops that stock things you won't find elsewhere. Great prices and known the owner and staff for years. I affectionately call it the crazy shop only because if I'm looking for something obscure they more often than not had it. They even helped me out when I got locked out for free once. Well deserved 5 stars.

We were working locally today and ran out of a few items. We stumbled across this hardware store and were so glad that we did. Friendly staff and had a variety of items needed to finish our job. Great value and staff who knew what they were talking about. Another little gem to add to the list of easy shops to use in Brighton.

I found the one thing they don't stock! - sewing machine needles... I marked this day as it was a rare one indeed. They've never let me down before and can always locate that odd little screw that can (unusually) be bought in singles. Love this shop and the incredibly helpful staff. I'm sure I'll continue to visit even when I am no longer local. I hope it goes on forever...

This shop has everything you need. The staff are always extremely helpful, the stock is good quality and they will also help you troubleshoot and solve issues you have. Not like with B&Q where it's 50/50 chance of the staff member understanding what you're talking about.

An incredible gem of a shop. We're local and forever dropping in for bits and pieces. I haven't found the product yet that they don't have in stock, and I've bought some pretty obscure items.
I'd recommend Pennywise to anyone. Can't praise them highly enough.

A fantastic shop that has everything and anything that you could possibly need or want, it's been a valued part of the Lewes Road shops for many years and I hope it continues for many more years to come, the staff are really friendly and amazingly helpful, you couldn't ask for any more than that.

Good range of homeware and bits and bobs for the house. I even managed to find brown wrapping paper when the nearby supermarkets ran out of it! Helpful staff too!

I am lucky that I have lived near this shop for 14 years. Fair prices for quality products. I buy all my toilet paper and bin bags there.

A great little shop that has all of those important little things that you find you have forgotten for the home. Everything from drain cleaners that work to plastic buckets and DIY odds and sods. Just like the hardware store you always want on your door step.
