I've never found them particularly welcoming or friendly. I'm not expecting the red carpet treatment but a simple amount of professional courtesy would be the least one would expect from a business establishment, especially in a small town.

On many occasions, items have turned out to be more expensive at the till than advertised on the shelf.

But the final straw is when they knowingly sold me old stock (unbeknownst to me) and then refused to do anything about it. Apparently, it has nothing to do with them and instead, I was told to contact the manufacturers. They refused a refund or an exchange. As such, they've demonstrated a complete disregard to basic consumer rights.

Who knows what else they have in stock that may be out of date? Buyers beware.

There are plenty of better newsagents in Whittlesey.
