Absolutely brilliant shop with fabulous staff! Jenny & Fran exceptionally knowledgeable about their product; no hard sell, passionate not pushy and very helpful. 😊 I bought a duvet, mattress protector, pillow, 2 nightdresses & 2 beautiful merino wool blankets. The Black Friday sales are great value, Peak Village Outlet is a lovely shopping centre, well worth a visit but don’t forget to call into The Woolroom! Thank you ladies !! X

Nice store, lots of stock..
A warm and welcoming log fire is lit in the colder months.
If items required arnt in stock they can be ordered in, or delivered to the home..
0% finance over 12 months on mattresses which is really helpful.
As writing this review there is 35% off.
Helpful staff, lots of nice goods, just watch for the discounts as they're worth every penny !!

Came across the shops by chance. Wonderful sales people quickly understood what I needed and then showed me the unique advantages of a wool filled pillow. With the Black Friday offer I bought a pair of the Chatsworth range. Maybe wool from sheep I have driven past many times!
As advised I tipped the filling into the empty cotton bag and spent half a hour (while watching TV)
Pulling and fluffing the flatterned wool balls. Totally worth it. I woke in the morning neck and shoulder - pain free. I went back today for another pair...

Highly recommended. Jenny is brilliant and we had the most relaxing and interesting time choosing our mattress and learning about the wool room way of doing things. Beautiful products and amazing discounts at the seconds shop too. Ten out of ten.

The Woolroom is an excellent store with staff that are both knowledgeable and passionate about the products that they sell. I purchased a wool duvet for myself and have found it to be brilliant. Having passed on details of the place to family, they have almost made purchases of wool bedding and have also found it to be beneficial. The woolroom is an independent company, rather than part of a big multinational and I would happily recommend their products to family and friends

Bought a ‘washable’ deluxe toddler cot bed pillow. expensive, but I thought worth it for a premium product. Key words in the name of the product being ‘washable’ and ‘deluxe’.

I have owned this pillow two months and washed it once, following the care instructions to the letter. Pillow emerged misshapen and all the wool had clumped in to hard golf balls throughout.

I emailed customer care, who after much back and forth (plus offering for me to return it to them for an inspection as they just ‘know’ from experience that it’s not faulty) they have now stopped replying to any correspondence.

Customer care told me this was normal and that I needed to spend time teasing the wool back out of the golf ball clumps. I’ve spent over an hour doing this, and it’s still so lumpy to the point my toddler is telling me her pillow is uncomfortable. Essentially all it is now is a sad sack filled with half squishy golf balls and much area with no filling in at all. I tried to argue the point that it was advertised as ‘washable’ and that no where on the page did it state ‘washable but you’ll have serious work to do afterwards if you do wash it’ and the customer care (who became rude and impatient) said that this product requires regular maintenance like this! Again, this was mentioned nowhere on the product page. Who’s got time to spend hours on de clumping, flumping and teasing a pillow?!

As I mentioned above, customer care now not replying to my correspondence, not issued a refund because they state the product is not faulty. The product has been missold and misrepresented as both washable and deluxe. Third party involvement is next.

Visited this shop on Sunday with my husband who wanted to get a firm pillow. Was met by most unpleasant woman who very forcefully told my husband what he wants/needs and have to purchase from her. She almost shouted her forceful opinion to us, telling and demonstrating why she is right and how she has full knowledge of human body and sleeping positions/pillows and mattresses. My husband was told several times during that bizarre demonstration what he needs rather than what he wanted to purchase. Goes without saying wont be going back to this shop ever again to be shouted down by someone who lacks even basic customer service and people skills. Shocking behaviour.

Was recently given a quote for a King Size Headboard and was looking forward to ordering it but was told that they no longer do them as they are changing the supplier even though they still have the headboards and material samples on view. What a disappointment would not recommend.
