Very sweet local mom and pop restaurant (husband and wife I think working out of their home) making fresh meals, either chicken or beef and rice and beans. What surprised me is how each part of these dishes were bursting with flavor (the rice was shockingly good). Portions are on the smaller side but for $5 it makes perfect sense. Orders fresh tortillas and fried plantains. The order takes time but you can tell it's because they put a lot of care into how they're making it. I waited outside on their cozy balcony overlooking the street and church across from it. When it was ready to be picked up, their daughter was inside doing homework at a table. Very charming experience and highly recommend to anyone visiting this area. You can take this to go and walk three minutes eat it at a beautiful park right on the lake!

This little eatery is amazing. Anyone visiting Panajachel or Santa Catarina should visit and eat here. It can be hard to find, but it's directly across from the church and above the butcher's shop.

They serve typical Guatemalan food. You're choices are beef, chicken, and maybe fish. We both ordered the beef and it was amazing - everything on the plate. They serve with a red salsa, rice, grilled vegetables and tortillas. To drink they bottled water, several soda options, and beer.

It was clear that this business is a community eatery. It is run by a family and while we ate, other members of the community gathered outside and chatted.

Please support them and eat here to really experience Guatemalan hospitality!

We came by and asked for a vegetarian meal. Even though what we asked for wasn’t on the menu, the lady prepared a delicious meal for us with rice, steamed vegetables, beans, guacamole and plenty of tortillas. Exactly what we needed!
