Mr. Tucan Hotel

Highly recommend Mr Tucan hotel! Family owned, beautiful spot right in front of the ocean. Great location on Main Street. Just a 5 min walk to yummy restaurants, lots of gift shops, water taxis to West Bay, and the staff is incredibly friendly! They will even help you arrange activities and transportation to them. Most staff speaks English and Spanish which is great for Americans traveling to Roatan! No frills rooms with strong A/C.

Great, well run hotel. Clean and modern. Dana was the manager for the 10 days we spent there. She was awesome. Towels and beach chairs available for free as well if you like the ocean and the sun! Its right im the heart of West End! Perfect spot.

Mr. Tucan is a fantastic option if you want a beachfront hotel at an affordable price. They include complementary breakfast every morning, beach chairs, and beach towels. Restrooms and showers are located downstairs for easy access from the beach. I liked that there is a guard on site 24/7 which makes the place feel safe and also you need the key which has a RFID tag to unlock the main door if guard is elsewhere. Room was cleaned daily and very well at that! Overall I am completely satisfied and will be returning for sure!

Really great place. Lots of character & ambiance. I genjoyed my stay here. The beach is across the street ! It's on the main street with local shops great restaurants & a marvelous view !

Everything was perfect for the reasonable price I paid for my stay. All the staff members went above and Beyond including the owner which I met. Wendy is amazing she helped me upgrade to ocean view via what’s app. Cynthia waited 2hrs at the airport for us due to delays. The. Hotel has an amazing coffee shop downstairs with amazing breakfast and food. Beach is right across the street and beach chairs are provided. To top it off I forgot my bracelet in the room safe and the staff was kind of enough to call me and send somebody to drop it off for me at the airport! Just amazing people all around. No complaints!. Highly recommend.

We landed in Roatan, previous to the trip we had set up a driver to the hotel via email. We went early May. Some how that week we missed the smoke that was billowing in from the mainland. River gave us a small history of the island and places to go. We arrived at the hotel, I thought it was cute. Main dr of west end , was fairly busy . But nothing outlandish. Once you cross the street to the beach , all of it melts away.

Mr Tican it self is an adorable lil place , our room was cool, with a queen size bed . Comfortable enough for sleep and as we were barely in our room it was fine. Linens were clean, bathroom was good. Took a minute to get the hor water but it came. The veranda that all the rooms are on overlooks the street and is great for people watching and drinks.

We walked the main drag from end to end a couple of times, noting restaurants and places wed like to check out. Make sure to say hi to people as you will see many of them again and again.

The hotel offers an island siteseeing tour w/ Cynthia. You my god , what a great day that was. Cynthia is a true mvp there. She took us thu Keyhole , To Coxen Hole, French Harbor, Punta Gorda and the Oakridge area for a late lunch. That day we saw monkeys , sloth, macaws, did I mention sloths! We saw quality native African dancing, we sat in the cutest lil bar on water. I just pictured Ernest Hemingway walking up . Truly a wonderful day.

They also supplied mask and fins for snorkeling. Hey guess what!? Literally, straight out the door and swim west boom a ton of sea life and snorkeling spots.
Look for the sunken submarine. It's near the swinging ship.

Mr Tucan was the perfect base for all of our trips too. Centrally located and just a short walk to the water taxis to West Bay.

I really liked this place. I can be a bit of a pain in the a** when it comes to where I'm staying because of cleanliness. But this place is very clean. They have comfortable beds. Nice staff and breakfast is included. The location is great as far as many restaurants and bars within walking distance. There are shops all over west end close to here.

The one thing I will say is that the beach across the street has a lot of sandfleas. I wasn't really able to enjoy sitting out there without getting bitten up. You have to constantly reapply bug repellent. Just an FYI.

Our apartment for our family of 4 was spacious and clean with good AC. The location is great and it is well organized and well run. Cynthia picked us up from the airport and helped us organize our adventures. Bean Crazy is fantastic. Staff is friendly and the baked goods are great! I highly recommend this boutique hotel.

Everyone at Mr. Tucan is amazing and the location is perfect. When you stay there you get daily breakfast at Bean Coffee which is located directly next to the hotel office.
Our room was clean and quiet. Full size refrigerator and stove/microwave.
You can snorkel right from the beach in front of Mr. Tucan and it is one of the BEST snorkeling spots!
I highly recommend Mr. Tucan!!

I recently traveled to Roatán on business and stayed at Mr Toucan’s in west end. I typically stay in west bay to avoid all of the hustle and bustle of west end, but needed to be close a few businesses in west end. Yes west end was still busy, but Mr Toucan’s was my sanctuary from it all. The door to the hotel has a security guard and a locked entrance keeping unwanted guests out. The room was very clean and had everything to make my stay comfortable. There was a courtyard area on the second floor for people to gather and relax. And oh my, the breakfast was incredible! I’d definitely recommend staying here if you need to be in west end!

The room was quite nice and cozy. There is a decent beach directly across the street, the coffee shop for morning breakfast that's included is very good. The A/C works too good.

Mr. Tucan is right in the middle of West End. The location is perfect for shopping or looking for a restaurant. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The staff is as friendly as can be and will help you in any way. The access to the beach is easy and the beach is clean. I would highly recommend this hotel for your stay the breakfast is great at Bean Crazy. I read lots of reviews before I made my choice and I I'm very happy with Mr Tucan. I will say in some of the reviews they spoke of being a little noisy with street noise being so close to the street. I will agree, but the noise settled about the time we were ready for bed it did start a little earlier than I liked in the morning, but it was something I could live with. I believe if you choose Mr Tucan for your next vacation stay in Roatan you won't be disappointed.

We stayed in the upper 2 bedroom apartment and it was great!! Very very quiet and black out drapes in room. Had a hard time getting up in the morning. If you rent a car it is a great place to park in back of hotel. Very convenient to park and walk west end. Very clean and comfy!!

Amazing People Amazing Service, clean and accessible to the beach. The best coffee @ Bean Crazy and they have a GREAT Lunch Menu.
Again I say they have amazing customer service, Cindy, Cynthia, Eber and everyone that was at the hotel just gave us the best experience we could have asked for.
WE MISSED THEM AS SOON AS WE LEFT!

Have absolutely LOVED our stay here for our family of 4. We rented two rooms and both have been perfect. The entire staff is wonderful. Bean Crazy has amazing food, coffee and service. Already planning our next visit.

Great service! Nice and beautiful room with beach view, clean and has everything you need included a little freezer. Breakfast was delicious with good coffee! Wendy the manager is a nice person and helps you in everything you need. I will be back again!

Affordable, clean rooms, with A/C, hot water, comfortable beds, seems recently built, friendly staff too. Good location in West End, beachfront, walking distance from restaurants and nightlife, lots of cabs around in case you want to make a trip to other beaches/towns. Public transportation passes by too, Route #2, West End-Sandy Bay-Coxen Hole.

The building is shared with an excellent coffee shop, Bean Crazy; also with a Gift Shop and a Duty Free Shop. Props to Jean and Wendy for their friendliness, and Fanny (loved your food <3).

If I were to return to West End, I would most likely stay there again. Recommended.

Great access and food, rooms are big and clean, they provided everything we needed and a bit more, it's right in front of a beach and walking distance of everything in west end.

Modern, clean bright spot . With roof top patio . Safe in room, towels , right in the hot spot in westend breakfast was delicious . Great coffee! Worth the $
