What an amazing place! It was our first stay at Turtle Beach and definitely not the last. We were 4 adults and we stayed in the Mayan villa which has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The kitchen was perfect for us to prepare our breakfasts while enjoying the view on the sea! There are 2 pools on site that can be used by all guests, including one just in front of the villa. We saw wonderful sunsets by either relaxing in that pool or chilling on the recently built deck associated with our villa. There is also a nice outside community kitchen with a grill which we also use for a dinner. The location is perfect on a quiet beach, but West Bay and West End are easily accessible by walk/taxi boat/taxi if you want to have more action from time to time! The team at Turtle Beach is so awesome; they care so much about their guests, making sure you have everything to spend a great time. Thanks so much Laurie, Steve, Paul, Paula, Rosa and Carlos for everything! We’ll be back!

Just got back from another fantastic stay at Turtle Beach Dive Resort. We were so happy to stay in the Mayan with newly renovated porches and the new pool right below. We love the location of TB! Walking distance to both West End and West Bay yet away from the cruise ship tourists and vendors. The beach is at your front door! With water gear provided. Probably the best thing about TB is the staff. Paul, Paola, Laurie, Steve, Carlos, Rosa and Melvin are all the best!! Need transportation arranged, they’ll do it! Need an excursion idea, they have great suggestions! Need a grocery run, they can make arrangements.

Spent our Christmas holiday at Turtle Beach for our first time in Roatan. We really enjoyed our stay! The staff were very friendly and accommodating and were always there when you needed anything. Room was in great shape, clean and stocked. The resort was well kept, quiet and had everything needed, plus they have contacts for water and land taxi's (Big John and Rigo are the best!) as the resort isn't really walking distance to West End where all the restaurants are. All the other guests were friendly, too. Would recommend this resort over any busy West Bay resorts in a heartbeat :)

We can’t say enough wonderful things about Turtle Beach. Located in the perfect spot between West End and West Bay. Cottage had everything we needed. Snorkelling was great just a few feet off the beach. Staff and owners were amazing! They made our stay exactly what we wanted. Laurie went above and beyond helping us stay in touch with local activities and we looked forward to our morning conversations with Rosa and Maria. We can not recommend Turtle Beach enough!!

This was our second time at Turtle Beach and we will never stay anywhere else! It is the perfect location; away from the busy West Bay and a short distance from the bustling West End. We stayed in the Lobster studio this time and it was adorable and right on the beach! The people that work there are amazing; Rosa checked on us daily to see if we needed anything, Rico got us safely to and from the airport, and Big John was our personal Uber with his Water Taxi.
We also met some other guests that will be new lifelong friends. We've rebooked for next year already and can't wait! Thank you Paul and Laurie!

Pretty tough to beat this as a place to stay while diving in Roatan. You're right on the beach, out of the hubbub of West End and West Bay, but a short (25-min) walk, or shorter water taxi, to either one. The resort is nicely designed to provide ample privacy for all guests, they provide everything you need, and the service is great. Snorkeling is decent right off the beach, and you're a 5-minute beach stroll from Clearwater Adventures, which is a top-notch dive outfit. There are also multiple restaurant options within a 10-minute beach walk. You can leave your shoes in the room all week if you want. Highly recommended!

So many things to say about Turtle Beach, and they are all excellent. This is the best location for a full experience of what Roatan has to offer. Location, location, location. You will have a view that you wont find anywhere else in Roatan, my opinion.
It location is half way between Westend and WestBay. Easy walking or just grab a water taxi from the dock. Ask for Big Johns WhatsApp number. Reef is an easy Kayak ride, or just stay close to shore and enjoy hours of snorkeling right off the beach.
Accommodations are fantastic and very up to date. And when ready to sleep the rooms all have A/C, and very comfortable beds. All have great kitchens, and they have an outdoor kitchen that is suited to large gatherings, and a great place to visit with all the other quest.
We met people from Canada, Maine, Idaho. All who have been , and will be returning to Turtle Beach.
Make sure you don't waste time waiting to schedule, this resort fills fast and now we know why. We already booked our two weeks for next year. So what are you waiting for, book your time and make sure you don't miss out.

We were just returned from Turtle Beach this past Saturday. Our stay was nothing short of amazing. Paul was an incredible host and Rosa took wonderful care of any needs we had during our stay. Paul connected us with Luke at Roatan Life In the Bay for a couple of really cool island tours, Big John....water taxi extraordinaire, and Rigo who picked us up at the airport and made sure we got back for our flight last Saturday.

Big John was awesome, but of particular note.....Friday night about 8pm my wife was not feeling well and needed some medicine. We thought all the pharmacies were closed, but I reached out to Big John. Literally in thirty minutes he delivered what we needed directly to our dock! We were so thankful, it was just an over the top way of caring for us.

Can't wait to return, thank you so much!!

This is my fourth time diving Roatan and second time staying at Turtle Beach Dive Resort. It's a great venue to use as your mission control for diving. You have Clearwater Dive shop just about 100 yards down the beach. You can walk from TBDR to West End or West Bay. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The service is fantastic. The amenities abound - everything from the two pools, dock, beach, upper deck, communal kitchen when you are gathering with other friends and great beach to sit on or swim at. Highly recommend this place in every way!

Turtle Beach provided an entry into a wonderful tropical world with a laid back vibe and access to clear water and coral reefs just beyond the doorway. Paul and his staff were great, helping us get into the Roatan groove with helpful suggestions for dining, drivers, boat operators and tours. The villas are each unique, constructed from local materials with many indigenous artful flourishes. We had a lovely time and look forward to our next visit.

Turtle bay is a small place-11 units in all. Great local artisan work all over the place. Free kayaks and SUPs. Walkable to west bay for great snorklng with snorkeling right out front. Somewhat walkable to west end but water taxis make it easy! Owners are great and always asking what they can do for you. Nearby Boat Bar has great food and fun. I highly recommend!!

We have really enjoyed our stay at Turtle Beach, the suites are very nice, the staff is exceptionally nice and the owners are very helpful. Perfectly situated between West Bay and the West End so you can get away from these busy areas and relax. Super easy to get around to the busier areas between the water and land taxis and a couple great places to eat just a few minutes walk down the beach. We would definetly stay here again.

First came to this island 27 years ago. It’s changed a lot. So to find Paul’s place right at the water at a peaceful part of the island was a real treat. It’s easy to walk or taxi to the “happening” parts of the island but, I want to hear the water, the birds the quiet and enjoy the stunning views.

Rooms are spacious, well thought out and spotless and all have screened in patios.

If you want fancy, a few hundred yards down the beach is the stunning Ibagari hotel for great wine, stunning architecture and ok food.

Need anything, Paul’s staff are ready to make it happen.

Wish I could stay a month or two!

Finally, to have Clearwater Adventures for snorkeling and diving right there, well how much better can it get.

We will be back for sure.

This was my second trip to Turtle Beach and I rebooked for February 2025 before I left. The location is incredible. A short water taxi ride to either West End or West Bay makes finding access to restaurants and activities super easy. You can also walk to both locations as well.

The villas at the resort are well appointed and very comfortable. You might find more modern posh accommodations, but you're also going to pay significantly more. This place is a tremendous value!

Start to Finish it was an honor to be part of the family, and that is exactly how Laurie and Steve made us feel. Steve and Laurie were there for all our needs day and night, literally at times lol. The entire staff was welcoming and friendly, they attended to our every need, even when we told them not to worry about it, lol. They were amazing! Laurie and Steve made sure we had all the contact info for transports, excursions, knew the best places to eat, and were always there for us if we needed supplies or a grocery trip! The villas, were amazing, beautifully crafted, and overlooking the ocean, they had wonderful breezes and warm sun, plus the luxury of AC when we got overheated. The pools were always kept beautifully, clean and crisp, not to mention the family style meal cooked up by our hosts Steve and Laurie in the outdoor communal kitchen! Rosa was amazing and came by every day to make sure we had towels, linens, etc. and took care of our laundry, which with 9 kids they seemed to go through in like 2 days. We took advantage of all that they had to offer and have absolutely no regrets. This was no doubt one of the top trips we have ever had, and we will absolutely be back! The location was perfect, right between west bay and west end so it was a nice walk or water taxi ride, which picked us up right at the resort dock, to either location. That goes for the excursions as well, most were able to pick us up right at the dock, and if not Laurie and Steve made sure to help us figure it out. I added some of our favorite pictures from the resort. Enjoy, I know we did!

My wife & I stayed here for our entire duration on Roatan. Paul helped us get situated; he & his team were very kind throughout. They always checked in on us to see if we needed anything. Paul gave us the opportunity to go up to the Macaw room to feed the birds, something that you can do regularly when no one is staying there which was pretty neat.
The units were comfortable with room to make some food if you’d like or keep some of your drinks refrigerated. The A/C units were definitely nice to control the humidity. There are two pools & an observation deck if you’re looking to lounge around, or you can walk to their dock. They provide standup paddle boards & kayaks, which we used to traverse the beach. If you have back issues like me, the kayak lumbar support is pretty minimal so maybe SUP boarding would be better—the water is pretty mellow. They have snorkeling gear, but we did not use them so can’t comment.
The unit is pretty close to West Beach & West End. While there are warnings signs as you walk to west end, we walked it 10+ times without any issues. However, you can take a water taxi if you need (Paul recommended big John). In general, we could walk 5-15 minutes to grab breakfast, lunch, dinner or drinks throughout our stay. Furthermore, excursions either picked us up at the resort or we were able to walk to West Beach to meet the group.

We took our family to Roatan for the first time this summer for a fun new adventure, and also to celebrate our 30 year wedding anniversary. I can't say enough nice things about the staff and the excellent service they provide at their resort. Everyone was very helpful, casual and friendly. We stayed at the Mayan Villa, which we highly recommend because there is a refreshing pool in front of the villa with an amazing view. The grounds are kept very clean and all the beautiful plants and architecture will leave you speechless! Whether you are a diver, love to snorkel or just want a tropical island to kick back on and enjoy the scenery, Turtle Beach Dive Resort is an excellent choice for your stay!

Everything was perfect about the location, service, room, right on the beach with lovely pool, beautiful landscape and kayaks were perfect to take out to the reef to snorkle. Paul took care of our every little need and exceeded expectations for our vacation. We will absolutely be back

You can read all the 5-star reviews and we’d say ditto….great location, beautiful property, great beach with kayaks, paddleboards, and other beach equipment included. The rooms were beautiful and we woke to the lapping waves each morning. WiFi was much better than I had anticipated, and USB plugs everywhere in the room! However, after spending a week at Turtle Beach in mid-December with family, what really stands out is THEIR family. Paul, Paola, Rosa, Maria, Carlos, Mary, Rigo, and Luis all made us feel like a part of their family. Not a day went by without someone asking “how are things going, can I get you something, do you need transportation somewhere…..”. I’ve never felt so much attention at any place I’ve ever traveled to! When the water taxi wasn’t available due to rough waters on a couple days, Rigo or Luis were there to take us where we wanted to go, hugging us every time they saw us! There are so many little things that made the trip over-the-top for us, starting with the artwork and carvings all around the property. Paul explained they are big on supporting local artists and every corner I looked there were things I hadn’t seen before. I commented on the artwork in the rooms and was asked if we wanted to visit the artist’s studio! Nothing like buying a few things directly from the artist! And the food, oh my! We had great meals at Sandy Buns, the Boat Bar, and Loretta’s, but the last night Rosa and Maria cooked a fabulous taco dinner for us on the property with two kinds of fresh fish, chicken, homemade guacamole and pico de gallo! Oh my gosh!! You will want to go back because the property is so beautiful, but you WILL go back because of the people who make your vacation so special!
