Bananarama Dive & Beach Resort

Great resort with reef out front. This place is ment for divers and snorkels. Pizza and food is delicious and reasonable so are the drinks. They have all the gear you would need to rent or supplement your diving needs. Great for night diving too.

Stayed at the resort on a family vacation. Not a fancy place but rooms were clean and comfortable. Location is excellent. Dive shop was excellent. Staff was phenomenal with us on our dives. All three of my kids did the Discover Scuba Dive here and Ben was a great instructor. Highly recommend!

So here is my review about this place. So, to be fair, I did not stay at the resort. I just stopped by on scooters because we were from a cruise ship.

1. Ambiance 10/10: The ambiance was very good. Lovely people, nice. You good music good vibes.

2. Service 10/10 : The service here was very good , the waiter was very nice, very socia, theyl made us feel like at home and always there for us.

3. Decoration 10/10: I mean, what is better decoration than having the ocean view in front of you.It was a very nice decorated with a lot of space.

4. Food 10/10: The foods and drinks were very good.As you can see in the pictures, I was surprised. There are a lot of choices in the menu.

5. Cleanest 9/10: I was really surprised how clean it was. Yes, I mean, it's on the beach but it was very clean..

Did not stay in the Inn however I was a customer of the Dive shop and Bar/Restaurant. Ben & the team at the dive shop were phenomenal. He was attentive, professional and helpful on our 6 dives. They really took care of you and the equipment was in great shape. Real pros. Lounge had good food, great drinks, reasonable prices and daily deals.

Nice calm beach with clear water and sand dunes. You can relax on the shore or swim out to the sand dunes if you know how to swim. Some parts of the water are deep. When you reach the sand dunes you can stand up. It's very squishy and grassy on the sand dunes. Swim shoes are recommended. The beach resort has decent drinks and food. There is a bathroom and outdoor shower area.

We visited Roatan for the second time March 6th thru the 13th. After the first trip, my wife and I were hooked and had to come back. I have always wanted to scuba dive, but could never get up the courage to go. Well, this trip was going to be different.

We went to Bananarama Dive shop on the referral of a friend we have on the island. When we arrived at the shop, we were teamed up with Jordan who would be our guide for our first adventure. None of the people in our group had ever dove before, so we were a green behind the gills team to say the least.

Jordan was extremely patient, professional and thorough with all of us throughout the whole process, even with all of our silly questions and general concerns about what could be expected. After an informative crash course where we learned all the equipment and how to operate it as well as hand signals for all of us to be able to communicate while diving, we were off to the water.

When we entered the water, Jordan made sure well all had equal amount of attention and guidance while learning how to navigate all the equipment and move through the water itself. After we learned what to expect and how to navigate, we were off. Jordan was always within view and was great in pointing out all the marine life that you would never see if you didn't know what you were looking at. She continuously checked on all of us and made sure we felt comfortable and safe.

This dive ended up being one of the best experiences we have had on the island so far and I recommend the shop and especially Jordan. I definitely think it takes a certain kind of person to take 4 strangers 40 ft. under water for the first time and Jordan is just that. We will definitely be back for more.

I have never stayed here but as a local, we come here all the time for the 2 for 1 pizza and just the ambiance, easy to get to, good service, pleasant staff. You can not beat the view here, they have a couple of beach guys that will plant an umbrella over you and tilt as the sun changes, Kiki and Benjamin. Come for fun in the sun.

Great place for a bite to eat - pizza is great! There's a great fire show and crab race on Sunday evening.

I recently stayed at the Bananarama Dive & Beach Resort and had an amazing time! The location is perfect, right on West Bay Beach with stunning views of the turquoise waters. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.

The room was clean and comfortable, with a hammock on the porch that was perfect for relaxing. We enjoyed the free breakfast every morning and also tried out the on-site restaurants, which were all delicious.

There were plenty of activities to keep us busy, from snorkeling and diving to parasailing and zip lining. We also enjoyed the nightly entertainment, especially the fire dancing.

I recently had an incredible stay at Bananarama Dive & Beach Resort. The service was exceptional, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The location is stunning, with pristine beaches and clear turquoise waters. The accommodations were spacious, clean, and offered breathtaking ocean views. The diving experience was unforgettable, thanks to the knowledgeable instructors. The on-site restaurant served delicious meals made with fresh local ingredients. Overall, Bananarama Dive & Beach Resort provided an outstanding and memorable vacation experience. Highly recommended!

We did not stay at Resort, but I used the Bananarama dive shop for my Advanced open water certification, and many dives after! I have to say the Staff was incredible!

Starting at the pre trip communication with Alex in the shop, ease to get equipment fit, there system for storing gear, to get everything else I needed to make my dives stress free! The atmosphere around the Shop from the staff and divers was like a little family! I felt safe and loved the quality of equipment used! These things made a big difference from other dive shops I have used in past. Due to the smaller groups and consistent dive partners I felt comfortable with every one and learned something new on every dive!

Zoey was the DM I did my Advanced with! She was Patient, kind , great sense of humour, excited for each dive and very encouraging! She made me feel safe and right at home from the beginning! She was very knowledgeable and always the first to show me the cool things in the water! Encouraged me to try a night dive and I even had confidence to get them to schedule me with a Shark dive! I highly recommend Zoey and will definitely return to dive here again! Thanks for the Amazing dives and honestly an unforgettable experience! I saw a hammerhead, sting rays, eels, dolphins, seahorse, turtles, squid, and reef sharks! All bucket list things in one trip!

After a horrible Discover scuba at another dive shop on the island for my wife and sister (recommended by family friends), I was able to bring my sister to Bananrama where Jordan took my sister out and allowed me to tag along. She was super patient and calm, helped my sister gain confidence in diving, and allowed my sister to find love in it, and not disappointment and fear like she had from her first experience . Needless to say, Bananaramas dive masters made the atmosphere inviting and safe for my sister to learn. (The bad dive shop had sized my wife in the wrong BCD, same size as me. I am 5”11, 225lbs and my wife is 5’3 140lbs). Bananarama took extra time to fit my sister, and if my wife hadn’t got sick she would have tried again too, although as many know one bad experience to a new diver can wreck them from ever trying again! So from now on Bananarama will be the only dive shop I recommend in Roatan!

Also a shout out to Ben! Took me through my underwater navigation ! Another down to earth and great Divemaster. His chill approach and overall vibe made it such a great experience!

The dive shop is awesome- Marco kept track of everything for us and went out of his way to be sure we were enjoying our stay and all of our dives. Yvonne was a great open water instructor for my boyfriend and took good care of our group as Dive Master. Antoine too! The accommodations are clean, private and very affordable. Food and service was also very good. The location is great- enough going on but not as busy as West End

Excellent Beach Resort. Everything that you want on a beach resort, you will find it here. Very relaxing, excellent customer service, everyone here goes up and beyond to make your stay unforgettable. I like that there is no crazy luxury and all cabins are very vintage and right on the sand. If you like to feel like you are only on the beach, then this is the right place to be. I like to mention a few names of staff we interact with and made our stay more enjoyable. Jake, Jenny, Ryan, Jose. Jake is at the front desk and he is in charged, he will always go out his way to make your stay the best, restaurant, bar and cleaning staff also were very friendly. The location is perfect and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Beach activity just right there, no need to go far.

Stayed down the beach but spent days here enjoying the water. Grabbing some lounge chairs, eating and getting the best drinks on the beach.

Very nice view and service. It was very pleasant to stay in this resort. I would recommend it to stay for vacations and also business. It has very nice installations. The staff also kind and willing to make your stay wonderful.

Absolutely incredible diving here. I didn’t stay at the hotel but was able to walk in and get a dive scheduled the next day. I ended up doing four dives total. Marco was great at fitting me and my wife (who snorkeled) in the next day. My dive master Carolina gave me an excellent refresher and I was good to go.

Can’t recommend this experience more for any level of diver. Amazing staff and good equipment

Stayed here for 5 nights May 2023. Location is epic. Good food at the restaurant. One of the best beaches I have ever been to. If you walk down to the end of the beach by the rocks the snorkeling is fantastic.

This is a lovely hotel, very clean, great wifi. Beachfront with chairs. The pizza place is amazing. We dove with them also and they gave us a great experience. This place is highly recommended if you are looking for a more budget option in west bay.

The dive center and staff here are amazing! I loved diving with them because it seems like diving with friends but with all the professionalism and safety of a top tier dive center. Highly recommend diving with them. I can’t wait to go back!
