Hotel Trudy

These 5 stars are NOT American stars, but Utila Honduras dive center stars. This is a hostel style establishment that does offer a few rooms with a frig, micro, and similar amenities. Our room only had A/C, and hot and cold running water. It's very minimalist for the adventurous at heart, BUT the value is awesome!!! If you dive, the rooms are so affordable and worth the stay. Don't bring your snobby selfish pompous attitude here...everything is on island time. This means when you order food, it's prepared after the order is taken. All meals take about an hour minimum, SO CHILL! The food is delicious and we have never had a problem with the fruit or salads. I hope you like coral based sand, because it's everywhere. We LOVE IT!!! Trudy's is exceptional with all of their food for all meals. Pay attention to the day of the week though, because on wings Wednesday you can't get anything but wings. These suckers are all natural and not genetically altered. "Island chicken"

I have been here in 2015, Utila is a dream, crystal clear water, nice, creative and cheerful people, locals so as tourists. i made my diving license next door at underwater vision. The staff of the hotel has been very friendly, rooms were clean too. Just the dorms are pretty small (4 Beds). They got a very nice outdoor area, you can play volleyball, chill out in the hammocks, go for a swim or dive. In 2015 i got the diving course with 7 nights at Trudy included, its been the cheapest diving course on the planet in this time :) there cool partys on the island nearly every evening and some good restaurants

Great place to stay in utila, the views, food and drinks are great. Rooms are clean and ok.

I didn’t stay here (and don’t think I would, since I feel a little too old staying in dorms or hostels), but loved coming here for food, drinks, coffee. Good vibes and good food, usually open, friendly people working the bar/restaurant. Love the hammocks and the dock.

Great food and service

Great vibes, clean dorms, clean private rooms, all bathrooms kept very clean. Volleyball out front. Attached restaurant with the greatest managers and staff $4-5 dollar meals (not including what you put into tip jar). Patrons and staff of Trudy's Hotel, Restaurant, and Bar are friendly and ready to have a good time. People stay there from all over the world, so enjoy the cultural mix!

We stayed at Bush’s, but had breakfast at Trudy’s. Every morning, besides good food & drinks, the staff made us feel só at ease and at home, really wonderful. Thanks so much Alex, Samanta and Darlon!!

5 stars for the restaurant / proper cafe / bar w full espresso machine.

Fresh fruit smoothies and variety of breakfast options in the mornings. Paninis, wraps, salads, burgers, and more for lunch.

Nightly dinner specials paired with activities on many eves.

Restaurant bar with good food and drinks, nightly specials, friendly staff, and the best dive shop on the island is just upstairs!

Did not stay here but we did frequent the restaurant. They had wonderful food and the coffee was delicious.

Didn't stay, had dinner. Good food and service, nice, well maintained grounds. Prices very reasonable considering the level of service and the quality of the food. Highly recommended.

Best place in the world! Awesome value and great food (not local food but still good) and great staff. Like Clifford keeps the place fun and energetic.

Such a hospitable staff, fun activities, great food, amazing view, clean rooms, overall the best place I’ve stayed on the island! Been coming for years!!!

Super nice place. Went Diving and hade the best instructor, Jeimi . Ate wings it was delicious! A must visit when in Utila.

$6 per night for a dorm bed. Can't argue with that price. Try arguing... I dare you. You would lose that argument every time. Bloody argumentative nonce.

Well... if you are looking for "THE" Spring Break place in Utila... this is it! No doubt about it! It was like a party going on from sunshine to sunset and the party keeps going and going on
