Clinica Esperanza Roatan

The clinic provides healthcare to thousands of people who otherwise would have none. While Honduras does have socialized medicine the system is way underfunded resulting in prioritized treatment. As a result many people are turned away. Last year the public health hospital reached out to Clinica Esperanza when they ran out of basic supplies. Services provided are the same as a regular hospital thanks to a dedicated staff and many many volunteers.

These are the most caring people I have met in the medical profession. As busy and sometimes overwhelmed as they are, they always treat everyone with respect, good cheer and are highly professional. They are “Hope” for many, including me. Bless them!
